Maybe we should have a "cash for clunkers" for guns. Turn in a gun, get $200.

Or however much it would take to get someone to turn one in. I have no idea how much guns cost.

Do you even know how racist you are? We all know AA crime is high and a problem in our country. But your bigotry isn't solving anything, either.

Yea, Wikipedia and freedomoutpost.com, which hit me with 20 pop ups, are such reliable sources.

Do you say that because of his comment on there being a "war on Christianity"?

So, a story came out today about a former serviceman that charged the gunman. He was the only one. In a room full of people. How did everyone else just stand there and watch? I just don't get that mentality.

And my .02, gun violence of this nature will not stop with gun control. But could be worse without proper gun control such as background checks.

The problem is our society has become feminized. Men are held to no standard, morality is subjective, women have basically become high rent casual frick partners who view Motherhood and being a Wife as a burden or inconvenience.

The results are a disaster but 100% predictable. We have made wrong right and right wrong.

It's not the guns - it's the idiotocracy.

Agree. There is no way to go around rounding up folks guns. That'll just cause more problems when people revolt, IMO.

Agree. I think being cleared by a licensed psychiatrist/psychologist is something that no one who is sane should have a problem doing. It's a small inconvenience. As someone hunts and has an arsenal, I wouldn't mind doing this, because I know I'm not batshit crazy.

And from what I've read/heard, the shooter had a hand gun that he had to reload. I mean...

He was shot 5 times and survived. I'd guess he's in pretty rough shape, but he's alive. From the way it reads, that act was probably what caused the psycho to leave the classroom.

Really? Every single piece of teaching and training says that when you are confronted by a gunman, your best chance of surviving is TO BE COMPLIANT.

Not sure whether that advice still holds merit this day (I'm sure in many situations it does), but I can understand why people are still hesitant to take immediate action.

Well, this guy was asking people if they were Christian, and when they said yes, he would shoot them. Then on to the next person. Being compliant wasn't going to work.

There's no cut-and-dry this is how you survive a school shooting handbook.
