Had a workmate from Turkey who was Islam, and while I didn't know him well, I think he was a pretty good guy. He was young with a wife and I don't think he had any kids
Had another workmate was who black Nation of Islam and it wouldn't surprise me if he was a serial mass murderer.
Finally had a guy from Moracco named Muhammad who washed dishes at our bar hangout. We all loved the guy. He was hilarious.

No, but I'd be applying presentism to judge historically based on that standard, which is a type of logical fallacy.
Back then it was based on physical maturity, not age. And that was the case at basically every culture during pre-modern times.
The Catholic Church did have a rule you couldn't marry before the age of 7.
We did evolve from apes, so I give ancient people a little slack. Animals don't give a frick about age. There is obviously a point when we as a civilization advanced past that. Likely a result of wanting better for our own children.
Even when they did start doing ages, it started out around 12. And that didn't change much until recent history.

People in middle ages used to marry upon puberty..even among royal families..and Europe wasn't an exception.
