Was hauling a big trailer. Didn't matter which lane I changed to he would not pass me. He finally passed me and flipped me the bird.

In reality you probably kept changing too quick, and he was mad there was someone going super slow and hogging both lanes with a stupid trailer. You may have finally sat long enough for him to go by and voice his frustration.
I completely understand his anger.

Sounds like he wasn't on board with Team Bunchie.

I wouldn't take it personally. Maybe he does that to anybody with an Arkansas plate.

As to OP, close reading your post I see a Mizzou fan flipped you off and you are perplexed. My question is why, when the answer seems obvious as the sticker on your vehicle which probably looks something like this.
I suggest switching to this and seeing if it escalates.

You're lucky you did not get shot. Being from and now back in Missouri I can say without a doubt I have shown many a moronic driver their first firearm while driving or being a passenger in a vehicle. Full disclaimer as I haven't shot or aimed the gun at them. Usually just hold it in the palm of my hand and waive it at them or hold it in my left hand while pointing at it with my right hand.
I am guessing you were in either SWMO or NWA. Traffic from both states mingle a lot in that corridor. People in Missouri travel to visit their family in Arkansas. Inbred or other. People in Arkansas go to Bass Pro.
