IF ANY ARE CONSERVATIVES YOU MAY FIND THIS OFFENSIVE

Any of y'all seen this. God damnit every fricking day they just pass shite that makes us look like shite and they don't even know it. Screw those conservative bastards who did this. I talked to one of my senator friends who said that the republicans hid this whole gay thing inside another bill to change the state seal. God damnit they say it's religious freedom but what the hell you can't just tell someone to leave your store because they are gay

I just can't believe this. I know some of you may disagree but I just can't beleive it frick mississippi

Write your state senator if you are concerned about it. There is literally nothing anyone on this board can do about this.

Except that Arizona's governor vetoed it.

Wonder if Mississippi's governor will do the same?

Why can't a business do that? If they want to deny business because they are bigoted assholed, it's their choice. They're stupid and stuck in a mindset long since past, but they should have that freedom.

Even if more senators like Blount apologize, moreover, they may have already opened Pandora’s box. The bill now sits in the House Judiciary B Committee, whose chair, Republican Rep. Andy Gipson, once publicly invoked a Bible passage supporting the death penalty for gays. (When questioned, Gipson elaborated that homosexuality is “unnatural behavior which results in disease” and “confusing behavior which is harmful to children.”) If the bill makes it past the strongly Republican-majority state House of Representatives, it will land on the desk of Republican Gov. Phil Bryant, who once denied spousal benefits to gay National Guard spouses in violation of a federal order.

I wouldn't turn any customers away based on race, sexuality, etc.....but I think you reserve the right to serve whomever the frick you want to if it's your business.

It's his business and he should be able to run it as he chooses...and if he wants to turn away money...that's his problem.

This.

If someone were to open a "gay-only" restaurant and not allow heterosexual customers, good for them. The government shouldn't be able to force them to sell because I want to try a soy-burger.

you should probably try actually posting the issue first instead of whining and crying then providing a link that no one gives a frick about reading.

I fully support a private business's right to refuse service to anyone, for any reason.

I don't support the government codifying discrimination.

agreed, i look it the same as the jack booted thug gov forcing bars to not allow smoking. America has an issue with over legislating.

I fricking hate fat people and poor people but their cash is just as good as everyone else's so I'm not going to turn them away unless they are causing more cash to leave the place.

Given what UM posted he'll probably sign it.

But much like Duke, I'm of the mindset that if a business wants to shoot themselves in the foot by denying services to someone because of something like their sexual orientation then that's their right to do so. We're far enough along as a society that I think that's exactly what'll happen to some of these folks that choose to do so.
