It's not an obsession. It's a matter of reality. If you don't live in a hipster town in rural Montana, fast food is something you eat, at least occasionally. And it is natural to evaluate what you see regularly.

What am I missing? They were mostly pretty positive except for the fries.

Actually we have a Chick-fil-A in Kalispell. I’ve never been like “MUST STOP AND EAT HERE NOW!” though. I see it regularly and my evaluation is I’ll go somewhere else if I want “fast food.”

Honestly, the only things that are good at CFA are their spicy chicken sandwich, their lemonade, and their shakes. The regular chicken is pretty bland.
I will devour some nuggets while drunk at a tailgate though.
