I googled all of my family tartans too. Here is the one closest to the ones we had posted.

Yes, that one is really close to the classic Blackwatch, and the 2nd one I posted has a version that looks really close to it as well. That tartan has been around for a long time.

I guess I was just so opposed to any plaid at the time... Now I really don't give a frick so the blue plaid looks okay.
ETA: I just went back and looked at that thread and I posted this plaid on page 5

If we're going plaid, here's my suggestion, besides the awesome Mizzou plaid I suggested earlier.
This is an SEC Conference Tartan I did with the colors based on each school's official colors.
Colors are more prominent based on how common they are in the conference. So there we go.

I actually like that a lot, Mizzeaux!! Nicely done!! That could make a very cool header - that's actually representative of the SEC!
