Apparently a bunch of stuff comes out on June 1st

A guy down the road from me has a couple of sasquach statues in his yard.

I had an alien offer to mow my lawn yesterday, he had a really thick Mexican accent poor guy... but he did a good job.
As for the type from other planets, hmm, well there are two things to consider. One there is a lot, and I do mean a lot, of planets out there and a fairly good amount exist in the "Goldilocks" zone. So the chance that life has come about seems to be pretty darn high.
Earth, however, has some very rare advantages. We have a huge moon for our size which eats a lot of the comet and asteroid strikes. We have a couple of gas giants in the outer solar system basically sweeping most of the comets up. We have some advantages that not only allow life to happen, but made it a lot easier for intelligent life to come about.
Two, space is vast. I mean unbelievably vast. Just getting to our next door neighbor solar system would take a few hundred years right now. So any advanced civilization out there would have to not only find us among all the planets, they would then have to get here.
Which may be for the best. Suppose you traveled across the vastness of space to make contact with Earth, you monitor our media to learn more about us, and the first thing you catch is "Here Comes Honey Boo-Boo." They'd be dropping dinosaur killers on us within the week.

Must of the sighting are military drones.

Probably just a bunch of bullshite as usual.
I am quite sure there is alien life out there given the pure size of the universe etc. Lots and lots of life.
But I also do not believe any stories I hear. All I see most of the time are people who make huge assumptions and pray on the ignorance of others.
Take all the STS footage some people, even Dan Aykroyd, try to pass off as alien footage. Yeah, sorry but it only takes a basic understanding of physics and scale to see that all of those were total bullshite.

That one for example was obviously a combination of debris and a camera with extreme over exposure.
Or take the one where people actually try to claim it's evidence of us shooting at one. Where "something" appears to leave the earths atmosphere at the same time a flash of light is seen.
That was obviously a particle that was close to the shuttle. As the "UFO" in that case would have had to be the size of New Jersey to be that large from the distances being claimed. And then the speed in which that item is moving almost instantly would have to be like 20-30 times the speed of sound.
In reality, it was obviously a small particle or something near the shuttle. The so called flash of light was obviously one of the tiny rocket holes all over the shuttle making a small correction out of view, and the blast from that obviously pushed the small particle away. And suddenly the physics and everything else makes sense.
Yet these so called "UFO Experts" make bullshite claims about how they don't know what it is or whatever.
Nothing but con artists taking advantage of people who want to believe and won't really look at it with a skeptical eye.
So every single time "a bunch of stuff is going to come out on X date" it ends up being total bullshite, and highlights how lazy or malicious the media and other people are about it.

I saw an instagram post and it said that NASA said that alien life may not be frickable.

It’s a shame this won’t get more play.
There’s so much potential for a run off.
*You gotta come to the sadUCF Tennessee thread and work your magic.

There are a lot of evolutionary filters for a species to pass through before it can become a space faring alien. Consider our only example, us.
We have made it through the intelligence filter and are currently facing the technology filter. Getting through this one means we will be able to travel almost anywhere, if the laws of physics allow it. We’re not smart enough to determine that. Yet.
If physics doesn’t allow faster-than-light travel or some other exotic means of trans-location then we’re screwed, no matter what we do. We’ll die and our epitaph will read, “This is the best that biological evolution could do.”
Each filter is harder to get through than the previous one and the technology barrier is no exception. It will not allow biological entities to pass through. We’ll have to create a machine species to represent us. In fact, we’ll have to let it design itself after a certain stage when we can’t keep up with it’s complexity. This will be the species that will determine if it can travel the Universe.
It’s difficult to imagine what filters might lie ahead for an A.I. that succeeds it’s creator. Maybe it’ll try to share its experiences with us.

AI will probably come up with something similar to this:

On a related note, a recent study talked about the possibility of there having been an advanced civilization on Earth that predates humanity. Specifically, if such a civilization had existed, would we be able to find any traces of it? LINK
Mind you, this was more of a thought exercise but it did bring up some interesting points. It would be very difficult to find traces of a civilization that existed tens of millions of years ago. The Earth "repaves" itself every few million years so there would be no structures left to discover. Fossilization is extremely rare... 2.5 billion T. Rexes existed over the course of their 2 million year existence and we have the fossils for about 100 of them.
We would have to depend on finding subtle clues such as, sedimentation disruption from large scale agriculture, fossil fuel consumption byproducts, or even isotopes caused by nuclear weapons.
It ties into another hypothesis about the difficulty of finding intelligent life on other planets. The theory is that an emerging civilization can only go hog wild utilizing a planet's resources for so long before they cause enough damage to self destruct or reduce consumption enough to live sustainably. If a species peak consumption only lasts about 200 or so years it would be virtually impossible to detect them.
It should be noted, that neither of the authors of this study said that advanced civilizations previously existed on Earth, rather they put forward this thought exercise on how difficult it would be find evidence of previous intelligent life on our own planet to illustrate how it would be virtually impossible to find evidence of it on other planets.

No bullshite. One morning about a year or so ago when I went to get the paper (yes I still like to read the newspaper) at 5 in the morning I saw something big in the shape of a cell phone behind my house off in the distance race off diagonally out of sight in a split second. It was brighter than the moon and no sound.
I have no clue what it was and I'm not saying it was a UFO but I'm also not saying it wasn't. I've never seen anything like that before or since. Maybe there's a rational explanation for it.

I saw something that looked like this in the sky driving on I-10 towards New Orleans this morning about 8:15...
It was a super bright white light that was hovering. It didn't move side to side or up or down. It just disappeared like someone turned down a dimmer switch super fast. As the light dimmed it had a faint red tint to it.
It was pretty wild. I have no idea what it was or what it could be. There may be an explanation for it. But, it's something that I will never forget.

I'm sure they're watching us closely to see if we're able to start colonies before AI or disease take us out.

The vast majority are military projects most of us have no concept of.
