If a fly landed on his desk, his response would be to send in ground troops. Other than that he seems pretty pragmatic.

He waited way, way too late to launch a campaign. He didn't announce until July of 2015.

Not only was he late, he was the very last major candidate to announce and did so a two or three weeks after Trump. He already had pretty low name recognition and his terrible timing ensured most people likely missed his announcement entirely.

If he'd started 6 months earlier, he would have had a much better chance at getting some national attention.

As it is, I think he's running to be someone's running mate - which isn't a bad way to set himself up for a future run as either the sitting VP or at worst a candidate with a well known name.

No argument there.

Damnit, when will the establishment mainstream media stop accidentally building Trump into a rock star?

i think he's kinda an a-hole.

dude literally CANNOT get enough delegates for the nomination at this point and he's staying in just to block 2 people he doesn't like.

i think he's a fine enough candidate. i'd vote for him in the general with about the same amount of energy that i voted for Romney with.

He is incredibly intelligent, respectful, and willing to work across parties.

He has no chance.

It's called a town hall, Fox did individual ones for all the candidates.

hard to deny based on your subject line. Kasich is a terrible candidate from technical points as well as fundamental points. he has no visible energy or excitement. Doesn't matter much in the oval office, but it means almost everything as a candidate. Much of what made Hitler so influential was his visible passion and energy.

Then there are the issues of big government. compared to most candidates, Kasich is about average on bg. That fits within your point, but Kasich would still be bad for the US bc of his big government beliefs.

Replace him with Romney, Graham, Paul.. or any other number of establishment R's and you have a lot of best candidates then. I'm no fan of Trump either.

Translation, he's about compromising and capitulating to Dem policies and the status quo.

Says a lot about the mood of the people of the United States that a lifelong Democrat is going to win the GOP nomination. The country has shifted left and the establishment conservatives have shifted right. Bad move on their part. The GOP is dead and these neocons killed it

it's really quite brilliant

Trump

- is flat out pro abortion
- is going to raise taxes
- have no idea what he is or isn't for military wise, probably for a reason
- is going to build a "fence" which we are going to end up paying for = mor taxes

but hey he's going to make america great lol ;

the worst 2 presidents of the 20th century in my opnion, Jimmy Carter and Hebert Hoover, were both "Washington Outsiders", one a businessman like trump (hoover) one a farmer (carter). it's like every 50 years or so we have to remind ourselves how shitty things can get by putting someone in power who doesn't have a fricking clue what they are doing
