As a Independent who leans right, this is the guy I would've voted for if he was the Dems candidate.
Why does everyone hate moderates so much?
We need someone who can reach on the other side of the aisle.

I said it in another thread, but it bears repeating here.
Those guys can't win their party nominations because the primary electorates (both D and R) are made up of much more extreme voters. If you want better candidates, you're going to have to ditch the primaries and go back to nominees picked by state delegations at the conventions. A better solution would be get rid of parties but that's not constitutional and would never happen anyhow.

I haven't thought of that before, but it would be perfect.

There's a pending lawsuit against the Presidential Debate group to let third parties in the debate. I'd love to see Johnson up there with the clowns.

I'm ridiculously right wing and would have voted for Webb over Trump.
The one year that an actual real conservative runs and loudmouth Trump runs and ruins the chance.
Then I would vote for a dem for the first time in my life and it's stuck between a freaking lying c|_|nt and a socialist not good at math.
Dems could have put out Biden, Webb, or Corey Booker and I would have happily pulled the trigger for the other side.
Sad times.

I support Johnson.
If he had a real shot of winning, I'd take him, too.
But we have to be pragmatic at some point
My question to you is, why even bother to vote if the media has already decided for you who wins?

Trump is a sociopath and you would have to be an idiot to think he would be anything other than a massive disaster as president. The dem candidates are just as bad in their own way, only hope is that the dems nominate clinton and the Republicans end up with a contested convention and pick someone actually good. This email thing and some of the incompetence she showed as secretary of state, plus her general unlikeableness will sink clinton in a general election as long as the republican nominee is anyone other than trump.

Hilary vs Trump I vote Trump just to watch people melt...

Dude, why the frick do you live there??
To be quite frank, I never really tell anyone why for the most part. I have a bunch of half-truths out there, but at some point in my life I was like: I'm bored.
I was an armed security guard for two years pulling the night shift for a bunch of rich folk. It was, looking back, the perfect job. I worked three days a week (13 hour shifts), I worked completely alone and there was literally never any problems whatsoever.
It got to the point where I was...just...wasting my life. I can't explain it. I had no inspiration to exercise, I didn't have friends, I wasn't doing anything.
So, I packed my stuff up and went to Mexico City, I was very frugal with my money and now I teach English and Self-Defense here. I guess I was only going to stay here for six months, and that six months just turned into four years last month.
Hard to explain, but I'm certain I stayed because A. I'm my own boss. B. I "work" six hours a week and make a damn good living.
Only problem is I really don't like the people or culture here. A lot of pride for a really shitty country.

I never said that.
I think at this point, having seen Hillary, if she wins the Democratic Race, I'd rather have Trump win.
If Johnson runs, he will ensure a Hillary presidency. He will steal votes away from Trump and the Republicans. Cruz stands NO chance of beating Hillary ever, nor does Rubio.
Trump can win, and I like his approach to China and the rest of the world. I don't think he's nearly as stupid as people paint him to be, because he's an ADEPT at debating. He plays the Republican party like a fiddle, like Kentucker said earlier.

By the way, neither Trump nor Cruz can beat Clinton or Sanders. So the logic that voting Libertarian will only ensure a Democrat victory is bullshite.
You guys are fricking stupid sometimes on this site.
Seriously. Let me paint a picture of what happened here in Mexico:
Two candidates, both liberal, split the vote and a Conservative won with 40% of the national vote. If either one of the other candidates dropped out, just one or the other, they would have won in a landslide and now with Pena, we have, quite possibly, the worst candidate in any election around.
Canada had the EXACT same thing happen.
This time we'd have two conservative parties splitting votes and Hillary would win without breaking a sweat, period.
Sorry to bust your lofty bubble.

First, Hilary can and will beat any of the Republicans except Kasich in the actual election because the moderate won't vote for Trump or Cruz. So if my vote for anyone else is going to mean something, I'd rather it support someone I agree with i.e. Johnson (and I'd rather Hilary than Trump anyway, although that sentence hurt to type and I hate both of them).
Second, Johnson actually would be able to appeal to and draw votes from the right and the left. If they'd put him in the debates with the Republican and Democratic he'd be a viable candidate if not the winner outright. They ought to put the best polling third party out there with the other two.
Finally, this is a result of the use of first past the post voting. It leads to a two party system and everyone voting for what they think is a less shitty situation instead of their actual conscience.
We ought to use Mixed Member Proportional or something of the like.

I said the media dictates who I should vote for? Go ahead and show me that.
I'm saying it, a third party candidate isn't going to do a fricking thing except ensure that a democrat will be elected.
I also gave real world examples, and I can give you a couple more if you're interested, but something tells me that you're not exactly here to read, more just bluster and be an angry whiny libertarian.

Guys like you are insufferable to be around. The enlightened guy at the party who says what everyone else already knows but have beaten it to death long before they ever met him and he pseudointellectually spews Alex Jones lines repeatedly while everyone tries to desperately change the subject.
If by saying a certain candidate has no chance is somehow Tacit support for I only follow the media you're just flat out retarded.
I live in a country where third party candidates ruined the election, and if you honestly think America will be any different then you just have no concept of historical precedence.
Enjoy your ironic tea.
