Where did I say to praise anyone? You're really not very bright.

ignore the fact that he raped a woman?

He was not guilty on a mountain of evidence and the girl recanted her testimony FWIW

There is a time and place to discuss the less seemly events in his life, this thread today isn't one of them. I think that's all people are saying.

He didn't rape anybody. His only crime was cheating on his wife with a crazy 19 year old. His accuser was schizophrenic. If you actually look at the facts of that case it's pretty obviously a consensual encounter that was used to extort money from him.

So you agree he never admitted to raping her?

SIAP: Kobe’s 13-year old daughter also dead in the crash. Reports are they were on way to travel ball game. Hard to fathom.

LSU fans have been just a smidge better than ol Roger Klarvin in this thread.

One bitching about this being on the SEC board.
Another making a Forrest Gump reference.

Stay classy LSU.

A lighthearted jab at an awkward photo of lord Saban is only a smidge better than dancing on the grave of a recently deceased person.

Nice perspective, Gump.

A photo from the #MambaCup in #calabasas Tenaya team was playing in #KobeBryant tournament that was cancelled right after they heard the news. @KSEE24

Good for them for calling off the tournament. That's classy.

Another good political warrior fighting against racism and hate is now gone, in Kobe, also. Sad.

What? I haven't mentioned Saban at all. No idea what you are blabbering about. I realize you are probably just extremely emotional right now, like we all are.

Great player. Tragic accident. An athlete died. I don't get misty for any pop culture figure or athlete. I find it more tragic that the youngsters lost their lives. So any full grown acting like a fan girlie over this is a punk. And no, I didn't cry when Old Yeller died either. I'll be in my bunk weepies.

This is all so sad. Even more sad than Americans at his passing are the Chinese, who loved him dearly.

Kobe Bryant China Fund

quote:

"Three factors driving Bryant's popularity in China are his on-court talent, his philanthropic actions, and his appreciation of the country's culture".[4]

Apart from Yao Ming, Bryant is said to have the largest fan base in China and his no.24 jersey outsells the national hero Ming.[3]

This fund was set up to help poor Chinese children who Americans don't give a shite about because of racism. Kobe was above all that though and that is how he lived his life.

The content of your post is solid and thoughtful though.
