Most of my favorite places in Texas are small towns or large pieces of empty.

My favorite place is where the women are. The blend of German, Native American, WASP and Mexican is a bastion of finely crafted pussy.

Drive from Dallas to El Paso sometime.

You'll change your mind somewhere around Odessa.

Maybe for you. Normal people change their minds at Abilene.

Is Abilene considered west Texas?

North Texas = DFW to the red River.

East Texas = East of 1-45, north of the Golden Triangle.

Southeast Texas = Houston and the golden triangle.

South Texas = South of I-10 from I-35(San Antonio to Laredo) to Houston.

Central Texas = Austin - Waco - B/CS

West Texas = everything else. You might break it up by the panhandle, but I don't.

Our BBQ is far greater than what you'll find in Dixie.

You know, I like Texas. I'm jell of your Mexican food and farm roads. But I'm being 100% honest here, there's nothing special about your BBQ.

75 on a rural, perhaps even unpaved road?

The rest of the country doesn't have that. I drive a lot.

I thought Oklahoma was just Texas lite. Is it a distinctly separate place?
