Is hip-hop culture destroying society?

After watching a couple of interviews related to the American Music Awards this thought came to mind.
People struggled to put together complete sentences and this behavior is being mimicked everywhere (not just music).
Is this the new norm? Is it good for society.

At a party this past weekend, some "new pop rap" came on and I couldn't understand a word they were saying. It's like they're speaking a different language.

It’s not a question of “is.” It’s a question of to what extent it has, along with many other factors in our current society.
And it’s not the entirety of hip-hop culture. There are some facets that encourage blatant selfishness, money worship, use of drugs, violence, class warfare and objectifying of women and discourage the value of an education and personal responsibility. Those are the ones that cause the degradation of society.

Funny they never say it about country music when it glorifies a lot of the same stuff.

Country music glorifies the same stuff as hip-hop or rock?

A lot of the same stuff, yes. Drinking, partying, getting rich, getting laid, going to the bar/club, fighting, etc.

Seriously though. Almost every country song talks about fricking at some point, they just use some cutsie little southern saying and everybody says how sweet it sounds
At least other genres are more upfront about their intentions
