Yea being a Midwesterner in the Deep South is tough but you have us as your support network. You can try to blend in with your polo shirts, khakis, and boat shoes but you can’t hide who you are. Go be yourself, buy some Carhart and blue jeans. Start ordering pop. Really find yourself.

Don’t think I don’t love some brats and beer. The hills north of my hometown are full of German-Catholic descendants (colloquially, “the Dutch”). A whole lot of beer drinking going on there.

Yea I’m not sure what they are without checking my files but he’s mentioned it before and has done the lord’s work in defending the glorious heartland in multiple Rant threads. His heart is in the right place.

Carhart is hard to beat. Got a super cold weather work jacket from them, really like it.

Farm n fleet is in Decatur, I'm closer to Mattoon (Rural King HQ). Not trying to give you more info for "your list". And Farm N Fleet is not what it once was. I spent a few months there in 87 when my mom worked there before I was Born. Def has been down hill since 2000s. Still good candy, but I can get that at Rural King.

yep. Every Sunday morning I watch half of the convoy leaving mass go straight to the bars. It’s both funny and sad. I want to assume many of them are just going to get lunch but yea.

Have Menards in Decatur/Forsyth and Effingham. Not bad places, but they've went down hill too IMO.

My sister got married at a little church in a town named New Hamburg. We pre-partied and post-partied at Schindler’s Tavern next door to the church. Mmmmmmmmmm... Stag.

I really don’t have lists or files, just playing in to the joke. Farm and Fleet and Fleet Farm are actually two different companies started by two families who were friends with each other. My hometown has a Farm and Fleet but now I live closer to a Fleet Farm and it’s much better. Will agree with you that F&F has gone down hill. They’re getting crushed by Menards in my hometown.

Menards tries to do to much. It wants to be like Home Depot, and then a little bit like a farm store, and then a little bit like Wal-Mart. Not a fan of their model.

You guys talking about cold weather gear... Let me tell ya, I got this thing for Christmas and it's the frickin bomb. I've been working outdoors for 20+ years now and I am always on the hunt for good cold weather gear.

The price is right too. It's a two piece beanie Balaklava (man term for scarf) combo.

Y'all oughta get one if you're like me and appreciate good cold weather gear.

(I tried to link to the ad where you can purchase one, but the link is too large. Google search "vbiger beanie" should get it).

That thing only costs like 13 bucks. I've bought 50 dollar beanies that weren't near as warm.
