If you don't want people commenting on something, don't put it on a public forum. Whether that forum be facebook, Twitter, or the SECr. Obviously the first two can be set to private, but the point stands. If you care about it remaining private, keep it to yourself. If you don't care, you don't care.

If you said, "Bella, I had a horrible lapse in judgment and I really don't want people to talk about us in here", by all means, I would shut up and absolutely respect that. Or, if something started off innocuous and ended up negative, or whatever else. Everyone has done stuff they wish they hadn't, and no one wants the reminder police around at every turn. That said, if you said "Bella I had a horrible lapse in judgment and I really don't want people to talk about us in here", and then proceeded to post in threads where people were talking about you, start threads, and keep talking about what you told me not to talk about, I would make fun of you.
