You visit that new bar around the corner yet?

Not yet. They looked pretty busy about 45 minutes ago when I went by. Probably gonna check em out something this week. Let the initial rush die down and give em a chance to work some kinks out.

Bought me a new pair of cowboy boots today I'm in a good mood.
Saw a great finish at the Daytona 500, the Spurs won, and I got to talk to wifey.

I don't think I've watched more than 2 races since the Intimidator died. Just ain't the same.
Things are just.. kinda ... there. I need more goin on. Almost healed enough to go do some more jumping into the sky. But wished more than anything could end up in NW Bama. Who won the race today?

I understand the sentiment better now that my childhood favorite driver is in the booth rather than in the car, but the racing theater is still compelling. Today's finish was just spectacular
Denny Hamlin won. Went from 4th to 1st on the last lap on one of the gutsiest superspeedway moves I've seen. Beat Martin Truex Jr. to the line by the slimmest margin in race history:

Awesome! What's the timetable for your return to that?

I can probably do a tandem now. Owning my own business.. I'm kinda being overly cautious to start doing the solo again. I was in a cast 6 weeks last time.. plus slow healing, then a month in January of back probs due to the favoring of the left ankle and limp. Gotta be practical.

Yikes, just keep being careful with the return, like you're doing. No rush

You know, I've never owned a pair of cowboy boots. They just don't look like they'd be comfortable shoes.
Now, those Mexican pointy boots, on the other hand.....

Taking it slow. Mainly cuz I'm my own income. But life is short. I'm ready to live it and feel the rush again. Until something else completes things.. high risk is the only thing that can make ya feel alive.

I challenge you to try a pair from a reputable store. Some of the most comfortable things you can put on your feet.

I didn't know a new bar opened up. When I was younger I would drink up at Buffalo Wild Wings, it's just mostly kids there now, or at least the last time I went up there a few years ago.

Wow, did they turn the old Piggly Wiggly into a bar? Last time I was out that way I believe it was a market for local items.

I almost took a job at the pig back in the day. Instead, I took a job at Winn Dixie in Chalkville when they opened up the new one. It was fun

In all fairness, it's in a pretty remote location. This one might do okay. People in the area might be interested in having a bar that's open until 2 am without having to drive towards town. (Or north on I-59, if that's the crowd you prefer.)
Either way, I just hope the food's good.
