I've been here since 70. It's done a poor job overall during the yrs. Take Fox's pizza. They thrive in Argo and it's just as remote.
ot though.. hope they have good food too and not overpriced. Clay needs to get their crap together before it becomes centerpoint and roebuck.

You were out here long before I was.
I always assumed that Fox's just had too much competition from delivery chains, but nothing else has lasted in their spot very long. The Italian place has probably been there the longest.

I was in college then. I banked inside that store.

chalkville small engine used to be pats grocery store. the old pig used to be a field with an old homestead on it. The new pig and deerfoot used to be a swamp and chert pit we'd go shooting at.
I went to kindergarden at the old Clay United Methodist Church that was tore down.

We used to go to Bass cemetery. It was close to the horse track. That was a creepy place. Went to a Guns N Roses concert at the horse track. It was a muddy freakin mess

I knew a guy who used to drag race his Trans Am in Huffman until he totaled it in between the Old Huffman high school and the BBQ place down there. He is a brick mason now.

Don't know if you guys remember the place, but when I was in high school, I thought Turtle's Records and Tapes was my dream job. Never got hired there, though.
