Basically, anywhere in the hill country that isn’t too near a city.

2nd stint in Texas lived here about 5 years in total
1st stint worked in Austin liked the nightlife but the housing sucked so we bought a house at canyon lake in the hill country throw a rock and hit the lake
Great place but had to drive to new braunfels really to do anything
This second stint corporate office downtown Dallas
Got a place in Forney literally in 6 months turn to Forniopia….all these dam houses no infrastructure to support them
Got a place now in Greenville Tx old house built in the 30’s on park street slow and easy.
It suits what I’m used to being from Greenville Ms without all the color!
Still get to Dallas in 30 minutes when I do go into corporate takes about 45 minutes not bad
Canyon Lake
Greenville Tx….where the poors live but it works:)

About 10 years ago you could buy houses in Medina, Texas for about $100k. Same house in same condition might be worth 3-4x that now.

Medina, Utopia, tarpley, Leakey, concan, all great options.

Woodland is more upper middle class conservatives that think they are rednecks. It's a nice and safe place though. If I worked out there I certainly wouldn’t turn my nose down at the place

Only places worth mingling in San Antonio are around Alamo heights / downtown and the northside (stone oak or near UTSA/the rim/la cantera)
Otherwise you have new braunfels, San Marcos, and Austin near by.

No sir, I just knew a guy who went to college here in San Antonio that was from that small town. He was a real nice guy and as soon as he could he moved back and still lives there. From what he said it sounded like a great place. I believe its mostly a German Catholic community

That is what it used to be, and the food was good

Seems like towns settled by Germans tend to have fared better in the 21st century.
