Did you mean to post this here?

Because the thread is just going to end up a bunch of gifs and tranny jokes.

In my youth, Munster, near the top of Texas, but have not been back in at least 50 years, so no idea what it looks like today. Pretty lassie had a big part of that and she is long gone.

Southlake here. We consider ourselves Ft Worth or Funky Town, but its' not that exciting. Keller might be worse but they have liquor stores now.

for me:

1. San Antonio.
2. New Braunfels
3. San Marcos
4. Marfa

Texarkana, because Arkansas would be within walking distance.

With more than 90% of the population German and Catholic

Looks like that part has not changed

An annual festival in April, Germanfest, includes beer

Gotta love the Germans with their mix of breasts and beer!

Sacred Heart Catholic School

Recognized in the top 50 of Catholic schools in the nation

Seeded by the monks from Arkansas
Nuns for teachers

Do they still have nuns?

Grew up in Conroe (N Houston). I’d move west of Austin like Georgetown in hill country. Or ft worth suburbs. Otherwise Tulsa is better bang for your buck.

I like Tulsa

ETA: however, I don't like landing in Tulsa on a Delta airplane

Suburb of Fort Worth

Just beyond the reaches of Fort Worth is Granbury, where we've lived now for seven years.

In a heartwarming and well-deserved announcement, USA TODAY 10Best has once again crowned Granbury, Texas as the Best Historic Small Town in America for 2025. This marks the fourth time our beloved town has earned this national recognition—a remarkable achievement that speaks volumes about the spirit, charm, and commitment of this vibrant community.
