Outback is awful: horribly overpriced for a restaurant no better than Logan's or Ruby Tuesday. Too much spices on everything and too greasy IMO. I haven't been there in years

No way. Outback is about the cheapest "steak resturant" there is and is tons better than Ruby Tuesday which is pretty terrible IMO. Chic Fil A >>> Ruby Tuesday.

Logan's is like an Outback clone IMO.

They've really upped their prices in the last 5 years if you haven't been. And Ruby Tuesdays has certainly improved their menu... it's actually not a bad place anymore

Ok. Gotcha.

I will defer to you on this one. I haven't been to either in several years.

I am not even sure there are any Ruby Tuesday's in south florida. Can't remember seeing one, and the one I would eat at occasionally when seeing my family in Orange Beach is closed now.

By the way, my favorite steak at a chain restuarant is the "Roadie" at Roadhouse. Big steak covered in grilled mushrooms and onions. Add the A-1 and it's a winner for a chain resturant.

There is a Texas de Brazil a few hundred yards from me so that is my favorite steak place now, but I don't really consider it a casual chain like Outback, Logans, and Roadhouse.

I won't act like Outback is some holy grail of restaurants, but as far as chain restaurants are concerned it is a pretty good steak house. I can't say I've ever left disappointed.

You just got unlucky. It could happen to anyone at any restaurant.

Yeah, that's true. That's why I always either get their ribs or the alice springs chicken.

Today is much better. It lasted about 23 hours but finally my shits have substance to them. That was the most miserable I have ever been. I do not wish that kind of pain upon anyone else.

But I am done with Outback and all restaurants similar like O Charley, Chili's, Applebees, Ruby Tuesdays, etc. I would rather take my chances with Taco Bell.

If we're playing on a relative scale, then I fully agree.

Where the frick do all you people eat if you do not eat at chain resturants (which includes fast food), which comprise about 95% of all eating out options???

I cook about 0 meals per year. I prepare about 3 sandwiches per week. the other 1,000 meals a year I eat out.

People just like to say they hate chain restaurants. I don't mind a lot of them. PF Changs and Iguana Grill are great IMO, better than most Mexican or Chinese. If you're not in San Francisco, New York, or New Orleans, most of your solid restaurant options are going to be chains (which I consider to be a restaurant in 3+ different cities).
