I spent 650 this year, which overall is probably pretty cheap compared to most but I don't have multiple kids.

Most went to the GF and her kid. Then my sisters and I set small limits to not go crazy and paid for a flight from Cali for my Mom.

Wondering how much everyone else usually spends for the holiday

My son gave up all of his “Santa” gifts this year, and I promised my wife that I would not biy the golf clubs I was planning on buying, in order to go to Pasadena this year. I usually spend $600-$700 on my family, but my son will only get family gifts, so about $400.

Overall going to try and save $400-$600 dollars for Pasadena. I didn’t plan on going due to the cost, but my son, said he would give up just about anything to go.

Would be less if it were up to me but my SO has a huge helping of “Christmas spirit.” It totaled about $2700 this year and we don’t get each other anything. Kids are always happy and making them happy and surprising them makes me happy.

Probably about $850 on 8 yr old daughter including a new iPad and otterbox. She already has one that’s only 16gb. New one is 128gb. She likes to make videos of her dolls and barbies.
Wife getting another defuser and new iPad.
I ain’t getting shite.

My wife and I set a $200 limit on each other. Her birthday is a week before Christmas and mine is a month before and our anniversary is in January so we try and spread it out. We usually plan a trip around the holidays for her spring break (she is a teacher) so we sacrifice a little for Christmas.

We have a baby coming in February so this will all change next year.

If you are talking about presents, it was probably about $400 for my wife and two daughters.

If you throw in the 4 nights 5 days in NYC on Christmas vacation, it was about $3600.
