Irrelevant as stated before -- either put up or shut up and let's move on.

I just don't think I am friends with him on FB. I couldn't tell you who he is I know that much.

I'm not gonna sit on my high horse and act like I've never said anything racist in my life....i'd say 95% of the people in MS that I know have said racist shite in their lifetime...I'd bet money many on this board do too even though they won't admit it.

But I don't constantly put things on FB calling the President the n word. The last status I had with Obama's name even in it was in November of 2012 unless there was something I posted while drunk and later deleted but I don't recall anything. I am known for drunken rants on social media I've even been banned on here for drunken rants before

In all honesty though I don't care what some anonymous internet people think of me. I don't know any of y'all personally and everyone that does know me doesn't seem to have a problem with me I get along with everyone and that includes black people.

That being said, I'd rather not get into a pissing match and just stick to the discussion at hand. It's been a very constructive conversation imo and mud slinging isn't going to accomplish anything.

Have you ever called Obama the n-word to someone else?

You're trying to sell a false equivalency. No word used a racial slur has the same power that the n-word has. Have you called the President the n-word?

And, regarding guilt, I don't feel guilty for anything, because I haven't done anything wrong. That doesn't mean that I cannot perceive that our society disproportionately benefits white males. As a while male, I don't feel like I'm to blame for this or anything; I'm simply stating what I observe.

My mother came from privilege but joined the military at 27. My father came from poverty and met my mother in the military -- both of my parents were Army. I'll be damned if anyone tells me that they didn't work their asses off to give me a good life in the middle class -- nothing was given to either of them.

And how is this mutually exclusive from black people having a tougher time making it in this world? That is what I just can't comprehend. My parents worked their asses off for me to grow up in a great neighborhood. They would be absolutely ashamed of me if I ever took for granted any aspect of it. They would tell anyone they would not have the same opportunities if they were black. My mom went to high school at Heritage Hall in Oklahoma City. It was a response to desegregation. How in the fricking world can you be so fricking ignorant? Are you unable to sympathize with black people? This is remarkable to me. You really think that if you were born in the projects(and for the sake of statistical average, choose the median income level of all public housing recipient, whatever city that may fall in) you would have the same opportunities you're afforded? You have to be the most narcissistic, ignorant, and racist person to be on this board.

Nobody asked to be born a certain race, or grew up asking for certain privileges.

So much agenda pushing, it's beyond ridiculous.

Unless your trying to get a scholarship. I had a Native American friend get one for just existing.

The fact that you're invested in whether or not he's said the "n-word" shows how shitty your argument (which I'd guess is rooted in some feelings of inadequacy) is.

I'm curious here. Do you think a) Straws was born into an economic situation substantially different than the projects or b) all black people are born in the projects? If the answer is neither, you just made another pathetic argument. If your answer is a), then you're simply affirming Straw's argument. If it's not neither and it's not a) then you probably should do some careful reflection on American society.

I'm not so racist as to think they need my sympathy. I hold them to the same standards as I hold my family, friends and any other person, regardless of race. They don't require my sympathy and to do so, implies that they are unable or incapable of achieving anything beyond that which is granted to them by me. That statement, has to be one of the most bigoted posted in this thread and to me, would be insulting as hell, if I were black.

It's the ability to sympathize with all people, not just black people, that you seem to lack.

I can't believe we're still having this conversation. Is there so advantage to looking like the majority...of course there is. Does that mean anyone with talent won't get somewhere because of their skin color, probably not.

I don't get why people try to argue against the obvious.

This is all pivotal on what the "majority" is. Majority of what? The racial majority?

If you mean the racial majority -- a male immigrant from Ukraine should have it easier than an African-American.

I'd guarantee you this is not the case.

Using "white" to encompass all of the different kinds of whites simply to pretend like there's some kind of inherent advantage for the entire white population of America is just plain stupid and racist.

The color of your skin shouldn't dictate perception. Period.
