Apparently you're not familiar with the Old Testament where God ordered killings and the destruction of entire segments of people. Let alone the time God killed every person in the world except 7.

...but, he gave them every chance in the world to repent and turn back to him first. Just like he's giving us today. Make no mistake, though. He is righteous. Merciful, but righteous. One day, time will run out and his judgement, wrath, and condemnation will get poured out on this world. And that's just the beginning of the eternal consequences of denying Christ. I don't think atheistic (or ritualistic, for that matter) merit is gonna hold much water when we stand before God. Just who we've accepted as our King.

Because the Word of God says so. And I believe God's word with every fiber of every cell of my being. And I've never found one, not one, contradiction anywhere in the Bible. When I was saved, God did a change in my heart and mind that neither I nor other person could ever do. It was supernatural. The anger, rage, pain, and guilt I felt melted away like hot butter as I gave it to him and I was able to see myself as I am: weak, needy, filthy, but loved beyond my wildest imagination. I owe him everything and more that I will never be able to pay. Trust me, he is more real than anything else in existance. I love my Lord with all that I am, and I can't even breathe without him.

Than help keep this one on track. What's your opinion on the op? If Jesus hasn't returned in 6,000 years and earth hasn't blown itself up, what will people believe about us, our religions and how we practice them today?

Was talking about your schtick jumping the shark, not this thread.

I'm not here to help you. I'm here to laugh at you

We're all here for our own reasons. If you think this is just a schtick you're going to continue being annoyed at me.

I'm just trying to have a meeting of like minded individuals. We sometimes meet here to talk about this stuff. Why do you think I get so many upvotes? You Christians keep busting in on my threads with subject matter in the titles that clearly identify it as a thread full of shite that drives y'all nuts. Why open the thread and do it to yourselves? This isn't for y'all.

I've moved past being annoyed. Now I'm amused

You care about upvotes

People always bust in annoying schtick threads, regardless of subject matter. Even non-Christians have been getting annoyed with your bullshite.

Which amuses me anew

The upvotes are very important. When an ignorant person says something ignorant, it's good to have a barometer they can use to gauge how backwards they apparently are. That kind of information is invaluable, it can change a person's life.

So when I make one of these well thought out threads that illustrates a clear message and prompts outpours of votes by people wanting to weigh in on my topics. It means one thing to me. What an opportunity wasted by you and your Christian brethren to make a good argument for Christianity. I give y'all a platform to put Christianity above the rest, and you waste that opportunity on two things and two things only. Name calling and laughing passive aggressive emojis. Both of which you are a serial offender.

Those opportunities have been taken by many of us (myself included) on several occasions on this board. The cast of posters here hasn't changed much since you started this schtick. There's nothing more than say. It's played. You know this.

That's what's amusing

Or would be amusing, if you were actually being serious.

Which we both know you aren't

My opinion was that it was hilarious coming from you, and worthy of assorted degrees of chuckling.

Therefore I did. And shall again

Well shite. If you fall off a horse, try and try again. Didn't they teach any of y'all any sticktoitedness in your small groups? My everlasting soul is on the line here. Geez. Lotta quit in you guys.

Fill me in on some background, please.

Did you go to divinity school?

How old are you?

What type of church did you attend growing up?

And to answer the OP, I'd estimate the big 3 have the foundation for a solid 500 years of continued prominence.

In 3,000 years, they'll be similarly regarded as Zoroastrianism today.

Taoism, Buddhism, and Hinduism have more staying power IMhO.

Ironic coming from you when you're always talking about how you didn't stick to your own faith

Humorous given the fact that I'm headed home to pick up wifey for our second ever small group get together maybe I'll jocularly ask if that'll be the topic tonight.

My everlasting soul is on the line here

Meh, you know the message, and myself and others have discussed faith seriously with you several times over. The fate of your soul is between you and God (or not, depending on your convictions).

The fate of your shitty schtick threads getting cloned upon is at least partially in mine, unfortunately for you

Another opportunity for a chuckle.

That's what they said about Christianity 2000+ years ago too. Christianity will never disappear BC Christ will never disappear. Buddas dead, Muhammed is dead, Jesus is not.
