How long after you've been dating before you tell you're SO you love them?

is there a preferred time frame for such a thing
imo I love you has a bad stigma attached to it and people get freaked out over it too easy.

Whenever you realize you love her. I learned the answer to this question in high school. It isn't hard.

After anal. But not right after, she'll be in a bad mood.

Context is king.
Do you know the person prior to dating them? How long, how well did you know them before dating them?
Additionally, love is hard to measure. We confuse love with attraction or strong 'like.' When things are new, we get butterflies and are obsessive in our thoughts. A better test of love is ==> commitment. Am I willing to commit everything to this person, this relationship? Without that, it isn't love

For my wife and I it was about 3 weeks after we started dating. Got engaged 2 days later, married 4 months later.
I wouldn't recommend it though, but we were older, in our 30's.

I always felt the urge to say it right before orgasm. Then I would take it back immediately after before I fell asleep. This has the added benefit of helping you avoid long term entanglements.

No time frame.
If/when you realize you can't envision a future without that person by your side, that's when you know you're in love, IMO.

Those are the 3 words you never just say unless you are meaning them and there is no doubt. I also think you do not say them until you are in love with the S/O.
To me, there is a difference between loving someone and being in love with someone.
ETA:
I tell the S/O I love her every morning and in every text. I am not a completely horrible person.

This is the correct answer. My ex-wife, it took me about 9 months before I realized I loved her. The girl I'm dating now, it took me about a week (but I waited 2 weeks to tell her).

It's already been said several times, when you feel it.

Edit: just realized it's not on the rant anymore.
In my case, I had to be sure. 10+ years later, we're still married.

Similar experience for me. We've had our tough times but wouldn't trade her for anything. I had been with enough of the "wrong woman" to know what I wanted.

Well, if dinner and such are not getting me closer to dropping her panties, I'll hint at it and maybe tell her that certain feelings are stirring that "I haven't felt in a long time"
If no nookie no, 3 words. When I do tell her, it is the day before the wedding and maybe once a year on Valentine's Day. No need to wear that shite out. Keep her guessing.

Or when you realize that this person is the best you can get at doing the things that make you feel naughty. Its ok to drop that particular bomb then.

Which is why you tell her you love her mom or sister first.

It's not about how long. You just know.
