How do you want, and not want, to die?

Obviously we're all going to die, but if given the choice, without being told when, how would you choose to die? Personally, I'd like to just die in my sleep- whether that be someone shooting me in the head or just my heart stopping.
An even more interesting question is how do you not want to die? (Please give realistic, everyday answers; not like being eaten by spiders or that kind of shite) What's the worst possible death you can think of. I think a prolongued, Lou Gehrig-style death is the worst- where you die a little more every day until you body just doesn't work anymore.

The worst possible death I can think of is being duct taped to a chair, two 45 pound plates chained around you and thrown in the ocean. Watching ID and two guys just killed a guy that way.

Am I the only one that understands you probably wake up when you're dying from a heart attack or stroke in your sleep? It's not like getting put to sleep when you fade away. I'd imagine you sit up quickly and in a panic cause you can't breathe and in pain.

I didn't say anything about a heart attack or a stroke. I said I want to go in my sleep and without pain.
That could be an aneurysm or anything along those lines that kills you rather instantly. So no, you're not the "only one that understands".
