If you liked them you'll also love SM, both guys started out as DJs and came together so musicality and scratching is superior

It is an AMAZING Album some of the most unique hip hop beats and flow you'll ever hear

I love slick beats and smooth rips. I actually don't listen to what they are actually saying (I know, it defeats the purpose. frick it. I couldn't tell you lyrics to any song. Ever).

I love madchild's rips, but his solo shite is subpar. He definitely needs someone to produce for him.
I don't know how to explain it other than people try to "overrap" to the beats and it ruins the track.

Yeah the problem with mad child is he isn't a producer but a scratch DJ and he is like oil to what some people consider to be water so a LOT of good producers won't work with him
Here's another album that FORCES you to listen to the lyrics they are so thought provoking and moving, and every beat is bananas. One of the best hip hop albums released in the last 10 years IMO

I hate that Nas got away from his lyricism for the most part that shines on that album. He had some monsters he was trying to impress on the NYC scene that were popular at that time like Guru (R.I.P.) of Gangstarr and Knowledge Reigns (KRS-1) and of course Rakim who a lot of people compared him to
After that album he was a totally different artist, when you hit it big like that and have a debut album be such a hit success sometimes it makes you lose your fire, Nas hasn't had it since that 1st album, you of course see glimpses, but not a full album like that one, it is truly a masterpiece

I was going to disagree with you but then I thought more and changed my mind. The fact that he rose from the slums made his world view change. To his credit, he has handled himself in a good way and seems smarter than Biggie if not Tupac. He also has less arrests than even some Tribe by quest members. Matter of fact, I'm gonna put on ill communications now.
