I agree with the no pre-thanksgiving decorations rule.

Yep... My wife is obsessed with xmas... I was up in the attic this past weekend getting boxes of decorations down... She took inventory and then went to Target and spent a bunch of $ on more Christmas shite we dont really need... She's had her Pandora on the ipad on the same God Damn Christmas Station since early October... Playing it loudly at times... I'll never get it.

I mean I get it. I love Christmas. I just can't get into it before Thanksgiving. It's just not natural.
And your wife needs to learn how to hit up Christmas decoration sales AFTER Christmas.

Our tree will be up the weekend before Thanksgiving... At least it has been the past 2 years.

I refuse to begin decorating for Christmas before Thanksgiving. It really pissed me off this year to see Christmas tv commercials a week before Halloween - the earliest I've ever seen them. I enjoy decorating, outside and in, for Autumn & Thanksgiving, and consider it a very special and important holiday. It sickens me how commercialized Christmas has become, and seems to get worse each year, while Thanksgiving is completely skipped over. Damn, whatever happened to the Butterball commercials?
I'll begin decorating for Christmas the week after Thanksgiving, and the decorations will stay up until after New Year's.
