They're managed better then a lot of chains IMO. My ex's brother owns a couple and they just don't put up with a lot of shite out of their employees.

I toured corporate headquarters and met with Truett Cathy when i was an undergrad and doing a research paper on Georgian fast-food legacies (Varsity, Chick-fil-a, and Waffle House, chief among them).

Honest to God, it is an astounding corporate campus and everyone there is genuinely kind. It's insane. Truett is also one of the coolest old guys on the planet. Nice as all hell and his Ford car collection is mind-blowing.

One of my best friends ordered assorted food trays for her child's birthday party a couple of years ago, and six people got sick. I was with her when we went to pick it up, and the chicken was barely warm with condensation on the inside of the lid of the tray. When we took off the lid, it had a strong, but not bad odor. She thought it would be safe to eat since she's always had good experiences with them. It was pretty obvious it had been sitting out for quite a while, so I didn't eat it.
Other than that, I've never had a bad experience with the food & love the service.

Probably because CFA doesn't hire thug POS who are just working for a paycheck. Almost all the employees I see enjoy what they do.

So your friend was a liberal and Truett was trying to take her out nugget at a time. Nice.

i don't know if they do it at your CFAs but at mine they say "my pleasure" every time you say thank you. and sometimes I believe them.

True story:
one time 3nout jr. threw up in the play area (i know. i was shamed greatly that day) and i went and cleaned up as much as i could because nobody needs to clean my kids throw up but me. I told them afterwards so they could disinfect and i said "i'm sorry about this" and he looked at me and said "no worry, my pleasure." either they're brainwashed, or they just hire a different breed.

It's because they treat their employees remarkably well. Unless they frick up and hire a shitty eprson as a manager (which seems to be a rarity) it's actually a pretty good place tow ork as far as food service jobs go. For kids going to college, they doll out scholarship funds to their high school workers. It used to be that they'd give a brand new Lincoln to every store owner who managed to maintain a certain quote of customer satisfaction and sales. The Christian-based corporate mission and devotion to the Winshape Foundation also helps them maintain this vision.

Seriously, it's an impressive company.

It's a company requirement. It both sets them apart in response and keeps the focus on gratitude to the customer for coming in rather than the customer being grateful the place exists (which seems misguided in logic and ethics).

It's one of the best skits ever and what I think every time I go into a fast food restaurant now.

Nah, someone just got a little careless with the cooking/storing of the nuggets. It happens.
