Anyone who says that anthropology would be an easy major needs to GTFO. Go try and take a few 300 level classes for that degree. It's no joke.

I think ranking the hardest majors is all relative to who is making the list.
For me anything with a lot of writing would be the hardest.
Anything with a lot of math would be easier.

Nuclear (anything) isn't really that hard. It just requires high proficiency in Science and Math. Most people don't have the patience for it.

People do poorly in math because they've been told their entire life it's hard. It's a mental block and its stupid.
That being said, frick chemistry. Chemistry is the hardest subject and the people who are good at it amaze me.

This.
I have disgraphia (spelling?) Which means I struggle with math. So my list would have a lot of math near the top.

They just don't practice enough.

I'm amazing! Nah, the general logic of it clicks easier with some people. I really find that's true for anyone good at the "hard sciences".
I also want to

I thought everyone at Ole Miss majored in Elementary education and finding a husband.

I'm pre-med right now and I'm taking physics and organic chemistry with both labs and I can PROMISE you accounting is not as hard as pre-med.

...Engineering is ninth on your list?
Almost any type of engineering would be among the most respected degrees you can possibly get out of undergrad, and you're on crack if you don't think the classes are difficult to get that degree.

Psychology and philosophy shouldn't even be mentioned in the same breathe as chemistry or physics. Why would anyone go to journalism school nowadays?

Any list where engineering is after liberal arts and shot like psychology is laughable

Chem was pretty fricking tough. I started with Chem and didn't get past the 2nd course. I now have a degree in Finance with a minor in Econ. Those are hard themselves but my mind is better suited for that than Chem. In all honesty, I understood finance after my first week of Econ. Its basically just cause and effect.

1. Physical Sciences (CHEM, PHYS)
2. Mathematics
3. Life Sciences (BIOL)
4. Applied Sciences (ENGR)
5. Computer Sciences
6. Business (ACCT, MGMT)
7. Social Sciences (ECON, POLI)
8. Languages
9. Journalism
10. Nursing
11. Education
12. Arts
Typically the smartest people I know come from 2 and 7, though.

Chemistry and math came pretty natural to me (hence my degrees and continuing education). My only problem with the list is that it groups the engineering majors together. After taking a class on air pollution hosted by the civil engineering department and sitting through graduate students painfully under prepared to present anything (let alone something with a technical aspect) made me realize that anyone can become a civil engineer (at least at UA)
Nuclear Eng. > Chemical > Electrical/Computer > Mechanical > Materials & Metalurgical >>>>>>>>>>>>>> Civil in terms of difficulty

These majors are not that difficult. I bullshited my way through a bunch of the upper levels for each of these majors. I was a business management major with a focus in entrepreneurship so for my upper level they basically had me try a little bit of each of the business disciplines so i'd be familiar with the business in all aspects. Business classes are easy if you aren't horrible at math and common sense.

I double majored in Psychology and Biology. The Psych. courses were easy as shite until I reached upper level. Even then they still weren't very hard. It did give me time to study for Physics and Chemistry classes, which blew.

Holy shite, I couldn't leave this alone. Accounting #2? Hahahahahahha. Anything in the Business college is lowwwwww. Engineering (the real ones like chemical, mechanical, aerospace, not industrial crap), pure physics majors, and chemistry/biochemistry majors are the only true difficult undergrad degrees. List is a joke, I am guessing you won't even make it through Accounting.
