So he can't reach and pull him across the seat? The car is an extension of the home in la so if he is reaching in his car it would be the same as breaking in.
Angry guy is reaching into your car you can either try to drive off or if you are armed fire. Evidence says he fired from in the car so as usual eye witness was completely wrong either on purpose or accident.
Take away in correct statement from witness and the star name and the case looks more clear. You don't reach in someone's car to apologize.

if he is jammed in traffic there isn't much he could do other than fire on him. You don't want for the threat to start beating on you before firing.

This may come as a real shock to you, but witness statements aren't the only form of evidence used to determine whether or not force was justified.
