Since we have discussed politics, leaders, and war on the board lately I thought let us list who you think is the greatest military leader of all.

I will put down Alexander the Great.

Conquered the Persian Empire, Nephew of Leonidas, Solved the Gordian Knot, united the Greek states.

No. He isn't. He had his own soldiers mutiny. Same with Caeser. That alone pushes someone out of the running. Can't say who I think should be named. Will respond later.

Moses. One of history's greatest underdogs turns slaves into victorious warriors over the mighty Egyptians.

I get what you're saying but Moses had A LOT of help from the "big guy".

Obama the great. Has done more to destroy the greatest military in the history of the world than anyone else.

According to this board, the "big guy" doesn't exist. So I stand by my choice.

Truman. Didn't mess around with sending troops to Japan. Should be the US stance on pretty much any threatening country.

We don't play no games. Attack us, and we will destroy you. No need for American troops to die.

Moses was an Egyptian prince though, so underdog is not entirely accurate. That is a theory being thrown out by some.

There is historcial evidence of this as there was an Egyptian prince's tomb discovered who disappeared about the time of the Exodus.

According to English historians, Britain's greatest military opponent was George Washington, beating out Napoleon.

Honestly, Hitler was a business Genius. He revamped Germanys Economy. But yea what he did was wrong.

Alexander the great was pretty awesome but not the greatest leader. I might have to agree with Genghis Khan

The greatest all-time military and political leader was Napolean.

Hitler was not a "business genius". He re-vamped Germany's economy by massive public spending works on aramaments and projects lik ethe Autobhan. It doesn't take a genius to do that....

As far as a battlefield commander, I agree. He was an expert tactician in the field, destroying legion after legion and decimating the Roman population, but he could do nothing with those victories and eventually had to sail back to Carthage, which was later destroyed.

Genghis Khan would be my choice if we're speaking about a true military leader.
