If you're drunker than Cooter Brown at about 2 A.M, get messy fries from Quick Grill.
Is that the little food truck thing that's parked permanently in the parking lot of the Publix on University? I've always wondered if it was good but make a point to not be in that part of town unless I'm going to class.

Quick Grill, yes. Their messy fries are the shite.

This. It's a fricking shite hole, the food is overrated for the price and you waste an entire day if you go on a gameday.
I ate at a hidden seafood gem in Northport on the river once. It's directly across the river from downtown. Gigantic patio on the river. I would recommend it but can't remember the name. Other than that, McDonald's is pretty nice.

Steamers or Wintzel's it's been both and I'm not sure if either are still open. The only other option would be Cyprus Inn, but that's across the river from campus.

Dreamland hasn't been good since the late 80's. The original owner died and his daughter went for quantity sold over quality sold and they quick cook their ribs now.
When they were slow cooked by the original owner, they were the best things you'd ever eat.
Their sauce is still legit though.

It is now called the Levee. Pretty good food. Much better than Wintzels ever was.
My list would be
Depalmas
Five
Chucks
BBQ your only option is the Archibalds listed above. Best ribs or sliced meat sandwich I have ever had. There are 2 other locations of Archibalds (actually called Archibalds-Woodrows) that are good but they are not as good as the original.
Innisfree for drinking on patio
Avenue for smaller groups and good food and beer
A new brewery just opened called Band of Brothers. It is very good.
I hope you have a good time.

Cant believe no one has said the Cypress Inn out on Rice Mine Road for steaks and fish... Really good food as well.
