I remember watching Prothro (sp?) live and it was gruesome. Worst I've seen in person is someone fell from a deer stand and forearm bone was sticking out of skin and other disfiguration from person.
I've seen people shot but that is just different

I broke a kids leg in a wrestling match once.

Legal move too. So I won.

He came back and beat me the next year. Think I beat him once that year. We became friends and had a nice little rivalry.

Another bad one was the Southern Miss player in the 2010 New Orleans Bowl (I believe it was 2010). It was a lot like Prothro... his leg just shattered and it flopped around.

Deandre brown was the usm player. Dude was just running an then boom all kinds of fricked up.

A Houston player had a nasty break at Marshall when he hit a band cart

What's interesting is that the worst leg injuries tend to come out of nowhere. You see big hits and cringe sometimes, but the worst injuries are usually the ones that don't look that bad

It does seem this is the case. I watched a video where a cheerleader was doing a toe touch, and upon landing her tibia broke and popped through the skin.

This happened to a hs cheerleader on my squad once, except when she landed, she broke both of her ankles and her tibia in one of her legs. You could see where it was about to come through the skin. It was at a night time pep rally for the entire town. They had blocked off a part of Main Street, but that part was not well lit. We were doing partner stunts. She had been thrown into the air, did her toe touch, but couldn't judge the landing because it was dark & so was the street. It was awful.

A couple of cheerleaders almost did. Another girl & myself were co-captains, and just tried to keep the others from freaking out. Thank goodness the paramedics were there. They took her to the hospital, immediately. As she was getting into the ambulance, she told us that she wanted us to finish. After talking with our coach, we did, but it was all a blur after that.
She was ok, but had to be in a wheel chair for months afterward, and had tons of physical therapy.
It was definitely one if the most stomach turning things I've ever witnessed.

I was away from my TV when the injury happened last night. It will take me a little while to build up to see it.

The worst injury I've seen IRL was when my ex-boyfriend was skiing and his Achilles completely ruptured. His calf was like a roller window blind that snapped back up.

You should get one and then add bourbon to it.
