The National Ornamental Metal Museum was interesting and only takes about an hour or so to go through.

There are 1000s of cool things to do, but first I need to know your talents.
If you're a handy man, I need you to come change a GFI outlet in my master bathroom. I can do it, I just don't have a lot of free time. I'll make you a burrito.
If you like outdoor stuff, I need you to look at this weed that is trying to take over my front yard and tell me how to get rid of it. 2 coor's original's and a burger.

Central BBQ is good-- not fancy
Paulette's is my wife's favorite
Pink Palace (not a brothel)
Memphis Botanical Gardens
Pretty good zoo
Playhouse on the Square
Theater Memphis
Get a Memphis Flyer magazine and look through it--I just listed what my wife and kids like

I will be eating BBQ at least once. I eat just about any food.
I will be going to Graceland and Sun Studios. I have no idea where else.
Mainly going to stay with a friend and hit the bar scene.

Don't go to central. Go to BBQ Shop on Madison.
If you go to Beal go to Dyers Burgers. My favorite burger in Memphis.

Really good... Alex's Tavern on Jackson has a great burger too but it's in an extremely urban area.
Like the poster said earlier, pick up a Memphis Flyer at any bar or restaurant and it'll tell you everything going on.

Mud Island is fun if you have kids.
Take the elevator to the top of the Bass Pro Pyramid, there's a great view from up there.
There's plenty of bars on Beale Street to hit up for live music.

Go to both. Central has better meat, BBQ shop has better sauce.
Germantown Comissary is probs best BBQ in Memphis though.
