Does anyone else here go by their middle name?

Or name your child something with the intention of calling them by their middle name? I'm a victim of this and don't unferstand the logic. I've asked my parents before why they chose to do this and have never gotten a real answer.
It's always been inconvenient for me when starting a new class, filling out paperwork, etc.
This question does not apply to Jrs, IIIs and so on. Those are understandable.

I do. Parents wanted me to have the same initials as my dad, but didn't want to call me junior. So I've got the same first name as my dad, but a different middle name. Just starts with the same letter. I appreciate it, because my first name sucks.

Two out of three of my kids do. Named after parent and grandparent but the sound of the middle names ahead of first just did not flow right.
I'd write a book about how mistreated you are.

Nope

You might could lobby the Govt to become a protected class of people and get affirmative action and other perks

I HATE my first name. Hearing it called the first day of class every semester was brutal.

My dad does. But he also went by his first name when he was younger.
Hence, I go by my nickname irl.

I tried to go by my middle starting the first day of 4th grade. It only lasted a week because I wasn't used to get called by my middle name and didn't always respond when my teacher said it so she said I wasn't allowed to go by my middle name anymore and made me go back to my first name. I'm still pissed

Everyone except my family calls me by my last name since I was in middle school. Does that count?

My middle name is Orion and therefore everyone called me Star in high school and college. So, in a round about way, the answer is yes.
And now you know the origin of Star Warrior.
