leaving them in a system where they have no chance of being adopted and truly cared for is worse then ending their life? if they wont be able to live normal lives then it might be better that they are aborted. It is a tough call
Not really.
Plenty of folks have dragged themselves up from adverse situations.

Yay! It was time for another abortion thread.

Plenty of people have but that is like saying plenty of 1 star recruits have become big time star players. Yes it happens but the vast majority don't end up pulling themselves up.
The better solution is more encouraged use of birth control/ easier access to bc.

Baby Soylent is número uno.

Projections for earth's human population in 2100 range up to 14 billion. Our current population is at 7.25 billion and there are plenty of starving people. Soylent Green is not that far off if you really think about it.

There is a SLIGHT degree of difference between talking about gridiron success and giving someone the chance to breathe, IMO

I can agree with this, however.
Also, an overhaul of the adoption/foster care infrastructure.

Do you look down on an unmarried couple having a baby?
Really depends on the couple

I like Chinese myself but, damn, you're hungry again an hour after eating one.

of course its not a perfect comparison in how serious it is but the numbers is what it is about. a vast percentage of babies from bad circumstances are never leaving those bad circumstances. Also we need to make clear what those circumstances are, being born into a poor but loving family isn't the worst thing in the world. I am talking more about the kid that is a crack baby that is going to grow up on gov care with no family at all. This kid could pull himself up but how likely is it?
I think America has a serious issue with how we handle things like sex and drugs. We try stupid things like fear through lies instead of telling the truth. We also have a problem of encouraging those that shouldn't have kids to have kids.
I don't really know much about adoption foster care system to propose changes.

Far more don't "pull themselves up from adverse conditions" than do. That great majority goes on to have two to three times more children than those who overcame their circumstances. They're aided by government welfare programs. This has resulted in a population of welfare-dependent people that is fast approaching 51% of all people in the U.S.
That's why Sen. Rand Paul recently proposed cutting off aid to women who have more than one child while on welfare. It makes sense.

That is another huge problem with America, we can never get real change that we need out of D.C because of the growing vote farms and politicians are in it for power not the good of the country.

The Roman Empire did the same thing. They farmed votes until the economy literally collapsed under the weight of welfare programs. It may be the greatest weakness of a democratic form of government.

The only problem with this is that the kids, who've done nothing wrong, are the ones who will suffer. I understand where Paul is coming from, but that's not the best solution.
