A 16 year old boy, and he's only 4'2"? That's short.

Pretty fricked up.

Kid is 4'2" and pops is making him carry a 23 pound landscape rock for 3 miles for not doing his chores at 3 AM. Seems excessive. Also, the "child cruelty" charge seems excessive.

Kid should be jacked.

the people that have a problem with it are pussies and probably have spoiled stupid children. Also that sgt. needs to trim the pathetic mustache and lose about 100 pounds

I agree that is is excessive but not cruelty. And people harping on the 23 pound rock that he was carrying, his school book bag probably weighs near that much with his books in it.

Yeah that's completely normal.

It isn't normal but people are harping on it like a 16 year old carrying 23 pounds is ludicrous. I was just putting in perspective. I would bet a typical high school math book weighs 3 or 4 pounds, put that with a few other books, pencils, notebooks and shite and the kid probably carries around that everyday in his bookbag. Although, if the kid refused to do his school work then that might be the problem.

You can strap a book bag to your back and make it much easier to carry. Those landscaping blocks get heavy in a hurry.
But Dad's an arse, not a criminal.

With all the talk about parents not parenting and kids becoming pieces of shite to society I applaud the dad for actually trying to be a parent and trying to teach his child a valuable lesson about the importance of school. Now, the rock was probably heavy but I went to a military bootcamp at 14 and they made my tiny arse carry a rucksack on 5 mile hikes and I was a runt. Now, it may it seem a bit excessive because of his childs size but it wasn't something that was going to injure or hurt his child. Military bootcamp was much worse.

"**** wanna act like a grown man in school so I gave him a grown man haircut. **** gonna learn today."
I'll take the sack of rocks, thank you.

Not sure what state it's in, but even the states that allow corporate punishment will arrest you and ask questions later. The courts can 'interpret" the law any way they want.

Georgia is the state. He was arrested and punished. I believe he got community service, forced parenting classes, and some other stuff.

Sounds about right. Our justice system is flawed and nobody will do anything about it.

Is that where they make you attend board meetings all day?
