Thinking of giving that a shot to change up my workout.

I finished P90x back in March and then started running a lot the last two months but I want to change it up again for the summer time.

Good, bad, indifferent?

I broke my foot and gained 15 lbs.

Not sure that helps; just wanted to make people feel better.

I know a guy that does it. He's cut as all get out, but works out something like 3 hours a day, is on a very strict diet, and can only drink one night a week.

That doesn't sound like it's worth it.

All of the crossfit people I know are completely obsessed with it and become best friends with their crossfit group. They post a billion photos on facebook, and all of the women are scary looking.

I could deal with this

Could not DWI

Could do it. I'd just blaze trees after my workout.

Crossfit is a great workout but I'm curious as to issues people who do it will see down the road.

Anyone who works out that much is overcompensating for the fact that they would rather be spending that 3 hours jacking off old dudes in port-o-potties on public golf courses.

I currently do crossfit. I go for about an hour 5x a week and generally cleaned up my diet (cut out sweets/carb heavy stuff like pizza and general shite)

As a workout, it is basically just incorporating olympic (and some power) lifting, bodyweight movements and gymnastic skills. This is all done in the context of a competitive atmosphere with other people working out, whether it is speed to completion, max reps in a time interval or max weight. If you are competitive and played sports, really drives you to better yourself. Something I missed since HS football since I wasn't training for anything and lacked the competitive drive

After 2 1/2 months of very strict dieting and working out 6 days a week with a mile run after, I lost about 15 pounds. Decently cut. Now I am able to maintain it pretty easily with my above mentioned diet/workout plan

Crossfit isn't the only workout plan that works. P90x, insanity, or a million other things will get you in shape or cut. All just depends on preference. If you are a pretty competitive person and you want to have a group of people working out with you in a group pushing you, crossfit is a great well rounded workout plan. If you don't like working out as a group or can motivate yourself without competition, other things are just as great

it is a good workout. Did it for 6 months but became to expensive. I only did it 3 times a week though. I couldnt do it everyday because 1) fear of getting hurt, 2) shite it tiring. Worst ingury I have seen in those 6 months was dude missed a box jump and peeled the skin right off his shin. :yak:

Just dont be a posting whore on facebook about it
