This fricking guy writing essays (no pun intended) to shield bad border policy by the Biden admin from scrutiny. So weird. If I were an open-border liberal, I'd probably just pretend this never happened and chalk it up to randomness. But I'm not a liberal, and I'm reasonably intelligent, so it's hard to know what I'd do if I weren't.

What's more clownish is my initial prediction it was a boyfriend (implied white guy) is getting mocked by the same people saying it wasn't an illegal immigrant because he had been processed and previously arrested therefore he wasn't undocumented. They might have a point there. If the Biden administration let him in, and gave him some kind of paperwork, then technically, I guess he's not illegal. Biden told him he's good to go. And 10 million other people. "No human is illegal" and the Statue of Liberty and whatnot.

Your initial prediction is getting mocked because you threw shite on the wall with no evidence or even a rumor to back it up.

In 99% of these types of cases, it's usually a boyfriend. I had no evidence "or even rumor" but it still wasn't a bad initial assumption. And it's a discussion board so people throw out good and bad takes all the time, because it's a discussion board, see?

He used a fake green card and worked for like a week until he was fired for being unable to provide additional documents

Simpletons like you should really stick to the grab-arse football posting, you’re in way over your head.

Athens isn’t a sanctuary city. Get your damn facts straight before insulting the hardworking, conservative, members of the local police forces that have worked to keep alignment with ICE, in spite of the left-leaning voting nature of the city.

It’s those same officers that keep people like you from getting your arse beat by adults like me when you act like the out of town white trash you are on game days. Show some respect

Man get off you high horse. Athens may not be a sanctuary city on paper, but it sure seems to be in practice.

Honestly, if you guys want to talk about immigration policy and how the democrats don't want it but the Republicans refuse to pass laws to address it until after the election...

go somewhere else. This board is supposed to be politics free.

Political posts killed the last board I posted on. Don't kill this one too.

This isn't about politics, it's about someone being killed at one of our conference schools. I hope this didn't seem like support for a political party because the 2 main ones can both get fricked. A student was murdered on campus which is about as important a topic as you can get. If we don't stop and talk about the causes of it, pretty soon there isn't going to be any football games to enjoy and there will be no need for this board at all.

The fact that it seems to make some people uncomfortable because it turned out this person was killed by someone who shouldn't have been in the country is beside the point. But I am sure you are just as diligent about policing the board when someone posts about recruiting or a coaching change also, right?

They certainly are one in practice.

Nothing is politics free. This is a national story, and it appears to involve another illegal perp who shouldn’t be here.

We have laws in place. The border could have been sealed.

"Repubublicans wouldn't pass a law letting us keep all the new Democrats...us...undocumented travlers we have now."

That is a Democratic Party talking point to cover their sorry asses for the invasion they allowed.

This is the fault of Joe Biden, the Democratic Party, and every America-hating piece of filth that voted for them.

There are other places to chat about it. Not a sports related topic, so it shouldn't be discussed on a sports board.

When these sorts of topics start to be allowed on a sports board, eventually it becomes 90% political screaming and 10% sports. Then the board dies.

It's fine if you want to discuss it. But it's better if it's not here.

I have strong political opinions. But I'm doing my best not to engage in them here because this is a sports forum and I don't want it destroyed.

No, it couldn't.

The laws we have in place don't allow it.

That's the reason for new laws (supported by both the GOP and Democrats) that would create a much stricter border policy. Both sides realize the laws we have in place (mostly from the 80's) dont' work for our border anymore.

But it was killed because the GOP doesn't want to address it before the election, which I find to be kind of sickening. Guys like Mitt Romney didn't support this bill because it was bad for the GOP. They supported it because it got them closer to what the GOP wants on immigration than any other bill ever has.

And this continues to show why political posts shouldn't be allowed. I can't help myself from commenting, and it has nothing to do with SEC sports. Eventually the board will be 90% threads like this and even sports threads will get derailed with political comments.

And those like me won't be able to help ourselves from posting on those political comments, leading to a political board with a tiny bit of SEC talk.

Our laws most definitely allow us to stop people illegally crossing our borders.

To claim otherwise is pure ignorance.

You obviously never crossed before the Democratic Party filth opened it up.
