I have noticed a disturbing trend with how slow their drive-thru has gotten around here. It used to be that a line of cars into the street was no big deal and you would be breezing through it in only a couple of minutes. Now it takes forever to get through and it's no faster than any other fast food drive-thru.

I have a chick fil a 2 minutes from my house. So I make frequent trips on a whim up there. One day I forgot my wallet. But already committed in drive thru and not the kind you can pull out of. Realized it after I had ordered. Got up to the window told them I forgot my wallet just put it to the side and I'll be right back. She stopped me from talking and said "here it's yours" and just gave it to me. Pretty awesome. Sucks knowing some people may take advantage of that. But when you honestly forget it's nice to have them there like that.

In my city which is heavily commuted, in the mornings the drive-thru line can get so long it will stretch all the way around the building once. But if I get out and go inside, I'm literally in and out in like 2 minutes. I don't know why others haven't figured this out yet.

Only problem I've ever had out of CFA is getting them to do light ice in the drive-thru. No matter how many times you request it, they fill that cup to the top with ice. Got to the point now where I just go in. And then you have to argue with them about letting you fill your drink because they want to fill it for you behind the counter. About all I got.

You argue with them because you want to go behind the counter and fill up your own drink?

Not sure I understand.

You've never done this? It's pretty much chik fil a policy to allow you to walk freely through the restaurant

No. I want to fill up my own drink out in the public area where the drink stations are. They want to fill the drink up at the stations behind the counter where they handle the drive thru people. Nice gesture, but only way I can get light ice is to do it myself.

ETA - Kind of like any other fast food place just gives you the empty cup and you fill your own...CFA fills it up for you behind the counter.

haha, I'll have to make sure I tell them that I want to make my own sandwich next time so I can walk back there and give myself an extra piece of chicken.

I've never seen a Chick-Fil-A with public area drink stations. The drink stations have always been behind the counter. Is this really an option at your local store?

I'm really sorry if I'm not understanding.

That'd be awesome. I wish the ones around here were like that. It is annoying having to go to the counter for a refill.

Next time you are there, let them know you didn't get a honey mustard sauce, and they will give you two.

I always specify how many sauces I want, just so there is no confusion (4 chick fil a sauces ftw)
