Changing the air filter

is when I feel the most dumb.

My brain knows to follow the arrow but the arrow says air flow. Half of my brain thinks ok the air flow is coming from this direction so point it that way, the other half says no, point it toward the direction the air is flowing out.

Why oh why do I suffer this way?

Arkansas education. Why would you not expect to struggle performing simple tasks?

The simple things are the hardest because they are so simple that very intelligent people over think them. The gent that posted after you, for example, fully understands life in Mississippi where they've finally discovered the wheel.

We are you? That is some weird projecting there. You are some sort of Piggi stalker aren't you? For God's sake go stalk WilliamTaylor21, he'd enjoy it.

Avoid Old Town Alexandria just outside of DC like the plague. It seemed like half the streets in that area were one way. Even more of a nightmare to drive around then the rest of DC.

I could explain the differences between blowing and sucking but it'd be second hand information at best.

If you are changing the filter where the air is coming out, you may need to ask your wife for help!

point it toward the direction the air is flowing out

I’m going to admit that I deserve all the derision I’ve gotten in this thread but I was, at least, retarded in a different way than you all thought I was. I was thinking of it more like a regular vent as in the air blows out of it. Had that been the case then I wouldn’t be an idiot at all. Instead I’m just a nimrod for not being mechanically inclined or something another maybe involving common sense or not. I’ll leave that up to y’all.

I still say take off the wording and just have the arrows then you know to shove the damn thing in with the arrow pointing that way,

If the house is warm and needs to be cooler does one turn the AC up or down??? I've seen married couples nearly come to blows over this....

Do it when the system is on.....if it sucks the entire filter into the return air and you gotta fish it out of the AHU it was backward....but if it sucks it into place and it sets against the reveal in the return air grill you are golden!

Turn the ac down to get cooler. Seriously, I’m not just all around dumb, I was just not thinking right on how the air doesn’t blow out there.

That’s a very good idea. Honestly aside from online I told a few people I’m close to about my woes with this and I think I have it now.
