Anyone have experience with Louisville? That's one Southern-ish city I really don't know much about.

What would you like to know? Grew up and live there currently.

Birmingham and Montgomery suck. Mobile and Huntsville are both better towns IMO.

Mobile is a far cooler city than Birmingham IMO. Which isn't saying much when Birmingham is about as bland culturally as possible. Of course, I'm also biased by the proximity of Mobile to solid inshore saltwater fishing and Dauphin Island.

Close access to the Tennessee River and a short drive to Nashville put it ahead of Birmingham for me. But in fairness, neither city has much going for it as far as food or music is concerned.

Not sure about Savannah. But you would get to have sex with all of them SCAD ladies. You have to pretend you like their art though.

I cover the entire South for work, and was single guy for much of it.

-the closest elite city is Dallas (Houston is horrid)
-Charleston, SC is awesome if you can land a job there.
-Atlanta is low cost of living and lots of jobs, I just didn't like the chicks there. Baton Rouge has more hotties than ATL and I lived there for 7yrs.
-Miami is the winner for chicks but it's because women from all over the world move there.

If you're looking for the best place to find employment and be surrounded by women, move to Fort Lauderdale. Most La people try Tampa because it's closer. Unfortunately Tampa sucks arse.

Take home message: South Florida and Dallas.

I'd rather live in Memphis ANYDAY OF THE WEEK over Birmingham. Talk the most boring and dull city in the US
