Are you insinuating that Athens only has 2x the amount of bars??

That's not how this works, if you imply something you need to have the information to back it up.

lol no, i'm saying it could have like 5 times arse many bars, but still les barrs per student. i don't think there is a linear relatonship

So you don't understand math at all??

i don' tthink u do lol
reason athens has more bars is more students especially graduate students who all over 21. plus there are employers in Athens and more adults working there whch increases demand.
so counting number of bars in clemson is silly, the bars there meet the demand for bars.

So in your mind, you think that Clemson, which has about 65% of the students of UGA, has more bars per person, even though UGA has about 8 times more bars??
Posted on 6/12/16 at 10:23 am to DrewDawg13
i don't thnk it has 8 times as many bars, at least downtown near the campus. lol
yes i think it is possible Clemson has more bars per student, b/c we are diving by a smaller number of students. again i tink you thnk there is a linear relatonship.

Actually it does, unless you don't know the number of bars downtown in Clemson, how many do you think it is??
Again, you clearly don't understand basic math, UGA had an enrollment of 26,000, Clemson had 17,000 not at all the 2x as many as you claimed.
Posted on 6/12/16 at 10:30 am to DrewDawg13
UGA has an enrollment of 36,000. you are not including the graduat and profesional school students, which will actually be like 75 percent of the people at the bars, b/c they are 21 and older.
Clemson's total is 23,000.
anyway, i'm not going to count up the bars in athens to find out. lol
wut cracks me up about uga fans is they basically only talk about bars. how many bars do u need unless you are an alcholic lol
let's say Athens has 100 bars in its downtown near the campus. 100 bars / 36000 students is 0.0028 bars per student. nothing to brag about for sure. lol
and i thnk t safe to say there aren't more than 20 bars or so in downtown.

So not the "over double the amount of students" like you claimed??
Our total graduate enrollment was around 8,000, Clemson's was a little over 4,000, so you think that 4,000 or so students make up the majority of people at the bars??
Also the fact that you think most people in downtown college bars are over 21 is hilarious, and shows you have no idea.

I didn't say anything about Athens bars, I said tel me the number of Clemson bars, I see you're running from this like the link I am waiting for.
You are he one that brought up the bars, and you are the one that insists you have more per student, which means y'all would be the alcoholics.

i'm saying the number of bars in Clemson meets the demand and there is a ton of devolopemtn there now so i assume the bar count will increase.
uga people say athens is better because it has more bars but it also has more people. it kind of makes sense that some bars will be too crowded and their options will be limited at times.
I think downtown tigertown has at least 10 bars. how does additonal bars make a difference if 10 bars can meet the demand. you'd have to be going drinking a lot to want so much variety in bars that 10 could not work. lol

You're wrong for a lot of reasons but I'll list 2:
1. You are operating under the false premise that all 26,000 students in Athens plus all of these adults that apparently live and work in Athens (I didn't realize we were such a booming metropolis!) hit the bars every week when, in fact, nowhere close to that many do. While downtown Athens proper has a ton of bars, they're also not he only spots in Athens. There are many restaurants and bars outside of that area to consider as well which dwarfs what you're thinking of
2. UGA people (and damn near the whole country) don't say Athens is better because of the number of bars. They say it's better because of the quality and diversity of bars, restaurants, and hang outs mixed with a damn near unmatched music scene. Clemson can build and develop whatever the hell it wants but it will never hold a candle to what Athens has spent 200+ years creating

Two more things:
1. Holy shite, you guys call your 10 bars tiger town? That sounds like a lame strip mall. I bet there are purple and orange paw prints everywhere too. That's cute.
2. I know this is hard to wrap your head around given that you seem unable to empathize with the fact that not everyone likes what you like, but college students at most normal universities (and Clemson may deviate wildly from the definition of normal) represent a wide array of interests and social scenes. Athens literally has at least 2-3 bars for every person of every interest. If you can pigeon hole everyone in Clemson to the scenes of 10 bars then I think that says something about the dullards in that town

Once again showing how little know. No one is trying to brag except you, you keep insisting that you have more bars per student which simply isn't true.
There are actually at least 80 bars in the downtown area.

Well obviously our amount of bars meets the demands too, if you think there is no development in Athens you are just being ignorant.
Again, YOU said that we say that about bars, that is only one reason that Athens and UGA is a much better town/campus than Clemson.
If one bar is crowded you have much more options than in Clemson.
You realize that people want variety in the bar atmosphere, not just the drinks?? Again, 10 vs 80 bars, or 8 times as I said.
I'm still waiting on the link to Clemson being to no. 1 party school.
