I wouldn't say I search out brands that cost more, but I'd say this instance is a exception.
Most of the time your higher quality items will cost more.
I like to have things that are different. I try to find quality brands that not a lot of people have.

Glad my woman is more interested in savings instead of buying clothes. I'm good.
I'm also impressed you got a five page thread going discussing women's clothes.

You used the term basic.... I'm shocked anyone here knows it.

That depends on where it's made to me. To a certain extent I agree. I have no problem dropping a lot more money on my favorite candles, pottery, etc, because they're a higher quality than Glade or Martha Stewart Everyday.

***Sigh***
Alright. You're going to make me do it. I don't want to. I know I'm about to sound like Rebelgator, and I've already agreed with him ITT. Here goes nothing:
I buy nice clothes to separate myself from tPoors.
Now I look like a shitty person. Are you happy now, UMTigerRebel?

I like being a classy individual with nice things. Does that make us bad people? Hellllll no, more people should be like us.

I had no idea you were a girl. Sorry if I've used any foul or otherwise inappropriate language in your presence.

It's a little different to me for men's clothes IMO. It's the women that wear something just because it's so and so brand, but it doesn't fit their body type. I want to tell them "Yeah that may have cost you a few hundred bucks, but it's not making your arse look any smaller."

seems like they should be happy. spend less to get what you want.
I'm all about spending less.

I had ever even heard of this brand before.

Particularly regarding jeans. Whether they're $30 or $300, neither is going to look good with a muffin top hanging over the waistband.

Exactly. And skinny jeans don't make you skinny. Which reminds of this favorite commercial of mine.
Genie Slim Jeggings

Lol, I saw that commercial just a few days ago. My first thought was those are the most unflattering & unfortunate looking pair of jeans/leggings I've ever seen. When they make even the real models look awful, they're definitely not going to work on the average everyday female. ... And my thought on skinny jeans is the same as leggings - many times they're not worn in the most flattering way. Unless females look like the mannequins in the store, generally, the arse being on display prominently isn't going to get the same desired effect.

simply paying more for something just because it's exclusive seems silly.
This is sanity.
Unfortunately, the market is awash with insane consumers who don't see a problem with forking over excess cash simply for brand exclusivity's sake.
It boggles the mind.
