I was checking out your campus on google maps and I never seen so many bollards, the short poles that prevent cars from driving up on sidewalks and grass. every college uses them in some places but you have them everywhere even though they don't seem necessary in most cases.

here is an example of what i'm talking about. LINK

why so many bollards, Auburn? they are eyesores.

i assume it is to prevent people from driving onto the grassy airs to tailgate before games. but it seems like you could just have people out there on game day making sure people didn't park on the grass.

Tailgating and vehicle control, and yes they are needed.

clemson and auburn campus don't look alike in my view. only reason people say that is because tillman hall and samford hall have similar architectural style because designed by same architect. auburn's campus is laid out on a city downtown grid, clemson not like that.

auburn doesn't have a 'drill field' like Clemson. Clemson is more similar to Virginia Tech's campus except for the architecture.

you couldn't just have 'no cars on the grass' signs? or put out some temporary barriers on game day.

wut Auburn should do is use the low height stone walls along sidewalks similar to UNC.

No and this would take a lot of manpower and create a bunch of shitty signs everywhere

see above but multiply the manpower

I bing searched this and came back with a photo of this

Yes, lets implement a massive campus wide construction project for something that has a simple solution

i think u are a sidewalk fan who did not attend Auburn. for sidewalkers like you, the campus is nothing more than a place to park for the big game.

i think auburn studdents and grad are with me on this. down with the bollards. lol

Clearly it's to prevent cars from running off the road and hitting people walking on the sidewalk

You got me, no degree or anything I also have a parking place, so no need to park off road

Side note, I actually know the firm who told Auburn where to place bollards for vehicle control
