So not very important?

Climate change may be controversial but environmental pollution isn't. It's easy to see environmental pollution so it isn't debatable.

First World countries make efforts to minimize or control pollution but still put lots of trash and chemicals into the streams, rivers, lakes and oceans. Third World countries don't even try.

Only First World countries are criticized, however. Meanwhile, the populations of third world countries are breeding like flies and pumping ever more trash into the environment.

Kentucker has apparently read Le Camp des Saints.

quote:

The Camp of the Saints is a 1973 French novel by author and explorer Jean Raspail. The novel depicts the destruction of Western civilization through Third World mass immigration to France and the West. Almost forty years after its initial publication, the novel returned to the bestseller list in 2011.

I had to google that. Interesting that Western civilization is indeed facing that fate here in the 21st century. I'll probably give it a read.

I don't know what's funnier to me, some conservatives who FEAR that one day the populace will become "interracial" (oh no!!), or the leftist loons who love to dig at supposed conservatives with the "threat" of "an evolving interracial populace" (oh no!!!!)

Proves to me again that it's the leftist liberals who are the biggest racists, because they think it's a powerful strike on their part to "scare" conservatives on the topic

I'm off topic I'm sure, but whatever, I do what I want!

In defense of the Hogs, if you had to room with Utx and were the only non TX school in the conference you might be a bit off too!. Besides they usually have the best names and avatars of the 14 schools on here.

I am certain there are racists a plenty in both camps. One of many reasons I loathe pinko commies and rightwing nutjobs.

As I have said before, left wing utopia California was the most racist place I've visited in the states and from what I understand Europe is even more outrageously racist.

I had to think about this one for a while. The growth decline is not a sign of our impending demise. It is a sign there might be hope. It is a sign that our species is learning how to limit its population size, instead of forcing nature to use her brutal methods. We ain't dying out, we're learning how to get comfy!

I tend to agree.

One problem social scientists have, and I studied to be one myself, is that they take trends and push them out to the illogical extremes.

Japan, for example, is seeing a fairly stout birth rate decline. They must be caught in a death spiral!

Or, perhaps, there were too many people living in Japan. Its not really a country built for a huge population.
