Possibly. But don't some spells call for conjuring the demon inside of a sacred circle that prohibits the demon from moving outside of the circle?
I don't have a lot of knowledge of the ancient arts.

Harry Potter really got me into it and to renounce the old religions and dive head first into the dark arts. My best attempt was summoning Cerberus, the three headed dog from hell.

When I lived in Manhattan, I lived above some witches. They had seances and sacrifices all the time and they put a spell on my ex boyfriend when we broke up.

No, I didn't ask for the spell, and I didn't ask what it was. It was a mean spell though. They would sacrifice rabbits and stuff, and they had a store where people could go in and buy potions.
ETA: He actually died about 3 years ago. I never had put it together until now that the same guy who got on the bad side of witches and had a spell cast upon him died a premature and sudden death.

On no, they were hardcore. I suppose they could have done spells for them, but they were more into the other side and the dark arts.

If you do the proper incantation and draw the symbols correctly, then no. You can actually control the demon...in fact I have one coming your way to rip your heart out and and slowly eat you from the inside.

This was exactly my thought at first. I was pretty psyched. I sublet this great apartment in the West Village and it had a little green area that was awesome. I was so excited, and I thought it was so fun that I had witches, and then the first full moon I heard chanting and wailing and I looked outside and saw a rabbit being slaughtered.
After that, I sort of stayed away. After I broke up with my boyfriend, they told me they had been respecting my relationship and that they hadn't cast a spell upon him, but now that we were broken up, they had no reservations about doing it. They told me he had a bad aura.

Moments you're really hoping someone gave you LSD gum earlier that day. Also, I don't see why a rabbit would be an animal of power. Seems like if you wanted to please the dark arts gods/spirits, you'd at least take out a cow and offer it steak. Though I suppose the logistics of a bovine sacrifice in NYC would be difficult.

Kill a rabbit with a silver bullet on a full moon in a cemetery after midnight and cut off its back left foot...keep the charm and you'll have the best luck ever. Lose it, and you'll have bad luck.
