Hail to George Strait. Dude has the same name as our first president and he has amassed a barrage of country hits over the years. One of my favorites for sure.

That song about learning how to drive makes me want to kill everybody.

I saw Garth live in nashville, during his comeback tour, and that was one of the greatest shows Ive ever seen.
He even sung Alabama clay, one of the hits that got him started as a young pimp.
The band "Alabama", rocks.
Clint black, had his moment.
Travis tritt, had more moments.
And george jones sure the frick does'nt need no rocking chair.
Just a few of my favs.

The only newer country singers worth anything these days would in fact be Jamey Johnson, Eric church, and maybe Justin Moore.
Its also a shame that the careers of Brad Paisley, Kenny Chesney, and Tim McGraw have gone the way they have. The early stuff was good and I guess has evolved to stay relevant with things today but its garbage. I include Tim because hes still in the game.

Clint Black >>>Travis Tritt..though I like both.
Clint black is one of the greatest songwriters. His lyrics really hit you hard.

^song changed my life when I hit a low point at one time due to personal hardships. Still can't listen to it without tearing up Lost a GF and it hit me pretty hard and I did some bad shite. Instead of leaving a Better Man I was Killing Time doing pills and drinking waiting for when my ship comes in, when there really was No time to kill. Basically I was alive, but there was Nobody Home so I just kept drinking and Loving Blind. . Finally after hearing the first song I posted, I woke up and was able to Tell Myself everything will be fine so after Untanglin' my mind I finally got my life back in order.
There isn't any new country you can feel heart and soul like this. It doesn't exist...what I told was a true story btw. Post took awhile so appreciate the hell out of it

New cd out a few days ago. I really liked most of Here for a Good Time, but on first few listens, Love is Everything, not so much.
