Am I the only one with a complete lack of sympathy for the rich?

You hear about all the depression and whatnot that goes with being rich.
My stance is that if you have enough money to put it all away and never work, or never struggle.. Then you are no longer a human.
To snap your fingers and have whatever you want is an unreal thing to imagine.
With that said,id imagine people would treat you differently if you had money, but... YOU HAVE MONEY. I just dont get it.
I make enough to live comfortably at least until I die, and I cant fathom that lifestyle.

I'm capable of having sympathy for them depending on the circumstances. Death of a close loved one mainly.

I have some sympathy for them. Never knowing who you can trust, not knowing if someone loves you for you or your money (there is a difference), etc. Depression doesn't care how much money you have.

Well, I don't hate them because I'd really enjoy being one of them. I'd make a great billionaire. Hookers, mountains of drugs, booze flowing like a small river... Yeah, I'd last maybe a year before my withered husk finally died but I'd enjoy it.
I've met some rich folks who are the nicest people you could ever want to meet. I've met some poor folks who are the scum of the Earth. And vice versa in both regards. Take people as you find them.
Getting into he's rich, or Asian, or she's a Muslim, or what have you, therefore they must be evil is a pretty lousy way to go through life. If a person is a jerk, then they are a jerk.

Those born rich and die rich miss out on some of the most amazing experiences in life. If you're extremely materialistic its probably awesome.

Yep. Now I'm a deficit hawk so I'd probably bump up the tax rate on the very wealthy slightly while taking the chopping ax to the Republicans and Democrats favorite programs. I wouldn't do that because I hate the rich, I'd do it because I'm leery of out of control deficit spending.

Actually, if you look at it from an average income/networth standpoint, most of the richest counties in the country are surrounding our nations capital. The irony there is suffocating.
