The Negan story went for like 3 seasons hahah it was brutal towards the end

The rewatch did no favors for 8/3. Hopefully 8/4-6 aren't as bad

Who was gonna kill the night king??
Lets talk about it. All Jon has done was get killed, almost get killed again at battle of the bastards had it not been for Sansa and the knights of the vale, almost die again trying to jack a white walker and then couldnt even make it to bran.
If you ask me Jon Snow is trash hahah

I mean, I'm not even saying Aegon should have killed the Night King -- just to make my position MORE obvious: I don't even mind that Arya did it.
I would have preferred that he was at least distracted by combat, or Bran doing something while warging, or maybe the NK is actually fighting a dragon and Arya Ninja's him.
Arya being the solitary fighter against him is really what it boils down to. He wasn't really distracted, and she didn't catch him by surprise since he had the wherewithal to catch her midair.
But, we needed a typical, super cliche moment where the bad guy has to stare her in the eye for five seconds so she can switch blade hands to stab him.
The guy who killed a dragon with a spear couldn't crush a little girl's throat, how fortunate for her.

That's the gripe, though. Game of Thrones was completely against those typical moments. People fricking loved Ned Stark. They never saw Rob getting slaughtered at his own wedding after being betrayed, the list goes on and on.
This is kind of one of my problems with switching writers for so many episodes like a lot of people do -- Star Wars is a classic example with how they dealt with Snoke, who was being built up in the previous episode only to be...killed in quite the same anticlimactic and "trick" type of kill. So all the lore that was built up was just wiped away because a new writer wanted to "do something badass".
This almost feels like a Jump The Shark moment, and I think everyone is hoping that the next episodes fix this one.

That's exactly what happened though. You clearly you didn't see Arya killing the NK coming, but you're still over here crying about it. Makes total sense.
Sorry they didn't cater to exactly what you want, life is so hard

"Complicated ideas make my head hurt." GoofJackson.
The point wasn't because you didn't see it coming you fricking dolt. It was because they were good characters who would have absolutely won if fantasy tropes were applied. The whole point of the series to avoid cliches.
It's starting to make sense as to why you think it's a good thing, your thought process barely exceeds a single sentence.

It's getting rill intellectual up in here...

But seriously though, this video sums up exactly why I loved Arya killing the NK and how she did it, and then some.

Straws is just emotional and mad bc it didn't go how he thought, but give him some time and I'm sure he'll come around eventually to seeing how brilliant it was.
KSG is just an edgelord who was going to complain and try hard to have a hot take on everything no matter what

So you don't think she could if she wanted to?
No. It's not her. She's literally said as much. She'd suck at it. So she doesn't live that life.
quote:
What are her character flaws?
Being a bloodthirsty little bitch? That was part of her character arc.
quote:
Even at sex, she seemed to be an expert with zero experience.
We never saw her have sex. Only that she wanted to get her cherry popped before she faced death. Then a scene with her lying awake next to a sleeping lover afterwards. No indication if the sex was good or bad. Only that she wanted it and it happened, and that was it.
quote:
She is a textbook Sue.
Nah.

It is a choice. There is no indication that she could not blend in as a lady, just that she prefers not to. That's why she "says" as much.

That's not a flaw in GoT.

Similarly, when I say she's an expert at sex, I mean she's very casual and nonchalant in asking/demanding for something she's never had.
Because you know, that almost never ever fricking happens except in the wet dreams of neckbearded men where a girl does something like that.

Hearing all Character Flaws, anyone can answer it if they want. I want a character flaw that actually hinders her.

She is a textbook Sue.
Nah.
By what metric can you make this argument? She trains less than everyone yet is better or similar to them, she is flawless in almost every single way (you yourself seem to be stumbling to find one poor quality about her) and she upstages the protagonist.
It is literally the definition. A seemingly perfect character who even undercuts the actual heroes of the story. Textbook.

That's the thing, he wants to act nonchalant and like he doesn't actually believe this stuff but it's obvious that it bothers him.
Angry Joe actually breaks this down really well.

Because of her shortcomings in living as a noble.

The whole first half of the series indicated that

quote:
That's not a flaw in GoT.
It was clearly portrayed as a flaw of hers in GoT, though

quote:
if being coldblooded is the best you've got I've already made my point.
Shitty point. Her being bloodthirsty instead of calculating almost got her killed but ok

Um, virgins trying to score before expected calamity strikes is pretty damn common  Hell, it's common for humans in general.
Also, saying she's nonchalant in asking for sex is hardly the same as being an expert at it. Swing and a miss, my friend
quote:

She'd have more political leverage as a noblewoman (which is vital in a show about politics. Khaleesi can't fight worth a famn and is infinitely more powerful because she can play the game), and, like I already said, unquenchable bloodthirstiness would have been her undoing if it had continued unabated.

See above.

Incorrect. See above.

She has been anything but this. See above.

Who's your favorite character been on the show?
Nothing to do with our current debate, btw. I was just wondering. Aggiebelle asked me the other day and I didn't have an immediate answer.
