Eh I don't think it'll be THAT bad
The night is young and full of errors.

frick that was well played

I do think they're going to fix some stuff tonight, because usually all of the attention is put into the episode before last. So this should be one of the better episodes, but I doubt it saves the season.

Well. It’s also Miguel Sapochnik‘s final big GoT battle and it’ll be in the fricking light so we will be able to see everything. It’ll be brilliant. But it won’t be free from D&D’s dumbass skullfrickery.

That's the thing, considering what the source of their directing/choreography, they can only do what they can with what little crumbs they've probably received.
Although the Battle of Winterfell was a horrendous tactical mess, I do think the directors wanted it to go a certain way and likely shoehorned it in just by being lazy.

Eh. D and D wrote it. Miguel just did the best with what he had I imagine. Any other director the episode is prolly a giant turd.

Benioff couldn't even pronounce Missandei correctly when he was talking after the episode

So [spoiler] and [spoiler] are dead, right?

Visually scintillating.

I think Michael Bay directed this episode. All explosions, no good dialogue

It's an episode dominated by a fricking fire breathing dragon.
There'd better damn well be some goddamn explosions

I mean, yeah but 60 minutes of shite blowing up out of 80 or however long the run time was is a little much.
Don't tell me that it wasn't in the budget to have Jon pet Ghost, THE GOODEST BOI IN ALL THE SEVEN KINGDOMS, and then the very next episode spend 60 full minutes showing an entire city elaborately blowing up in vivid detail

I mean, I was entertained

I'll give you entertaining
Cleganebowl was satisfying, although I would have liked that fight to have been longer.
But what was NOT satisfying was the way Jamie and Cersei died
